HERO HIGH 2 - The Mystery

a tear slid from one of Skiv's eyes

"It is what you deserve though. the chance to have your old life back"

She spun on her heels and looked up into his eyes, trying to fight back her own tears. "But it's not my old life that I want, Skiv.... It's the one I have with you. My new one. I've told you that many times before. They're dead to me Skiv! I just want them out of hell."

Skiv shrugged

"I guess, I don't know I just thought you would have prefered it. but if not i guess. But if we have to go to Hell i'm not helping"

She frowned and canted her head to the side. "Why not? What about your father?"

Skiv opened his eyes wider now as bit his lip

"Do you have any idea how many people I've killed, alot of them that didn't deserve it"

She rolled her eyes and smiled faintly. "Come now love. They're spirits. What can they do to you? You're almost a god for goodness sake!"

Skiv shrugged

"I don't know, it just seems like a bad idea. Who knows what could happen out there"

She sighed and took his hand. "Fine.. I'll go alone then. And set them free by myself." She took his hand and kissed it softly. "Be safe ok? Try to stay out of trouble."

Skiv scratched his head

"If I'm able to"

Harkin stood there for a moment, just looking at him with a smile on her face. Eventually she reached out and pulled him into a tight hug. "I thought I lost you... I thought you didnt love me."

Skiv wrapped his arms around her

"Why of course I love you, it was just that i thought you would have prefered to have your old husband and child back. But if not atleast bring the child back"

She pulled away, a smile still on her face but the tone in her voice was a bit confused. "What?... Why?"

Skiv's eys shifted to the ground

"No one deserves to lose their life that young, I would prefer the child get to have an actual life"

Harkin ran a hand through her hair and sighed softly. "Are you sure you want two?... Are you sure you want that child to be your own?"

Skiv nodded

"yes, It is how i'd prefer having two over a baby in hell"

She smiled and softly kissed his lip. "I love you... I'll be back soon I promise... And once we are, I might have enough energy left to take us home. ok?" She smiled and ran her hand over his cheek.

Skiv smiled and returned her kiss sliding his tounge in to massage hers. He then pulled back to speak

"I hope you'll be ok"

She smiled and gave him one last hug. "Hey, you cant get rid of me that easily.. Just ask Janet." She smiled and pulled out of his arms. "If something goes wrong I'll try to talk to you or I'll send Janet back... i'll be back as soon as I can."

Skiv nodded

"Ok, i'll try to find something to keep me occupied in the meantime"

Kat stood up and slowly walked back toward the school.Asshe reached the schoolshe tought about Ben and what would he think of her actions.As of the moment she knew she had to go an get cleaned up before anyone noticed
