"Retarded." "Noob." Posting the same video over and over again in an attempt to provoke. If it had been accompanied by something that let me know it was lighthearted, I could pass it off. But as it is, I have insults, baiting, and borderline spam.

Between this and the other thread, I'm going to have to go mod on you in a second here bats. I don't have any harbored anger over the earlier incident, so you certainly aren't going to bait me into doing anything rash. But I also can't ignore behavior that is against forum rules. Try not to let that happen.

Is it really in jest if it's taken as an attempt to provoke by others? I had no reason to believe you weren't being serious because you gave me none, especially since they all came in a short amount of time and were unprovoked insults. I was actually a quite shocked since I consider you a friend, as much so as people can be on KMC.

And 😬 to the second half. Mod powers only in certain sections don't mean you can insult someone outside their forum and not have to worry about it. Nor does it mean you can instruct mods on their duties. It's not pulling rank, it's letting you know that your posts are out of line. If it was in jest, ok. All can be well. But without some form of sarcasm, smilie, etc. there's no way to tell with the written word, and your comments over the past minutes have been rather caustic and uncalled for. I can't even imagine how bringing up a past controversy between members is supposed to be amusing. I regret how the whole thing turned out, but am happy we could put it past us.

If you choose to see my words as mad, so be it. I'm not. I rarely am. I'm merely trying to understand the situation, and diffuse it. My overriding emotion is mostly regret, since both the events earlier between ill and myself were unfortunate (though fortunately were rectified), as is the current situation. But anger doesn't cloud my job as a mod. Letting you know that you have been insulting and baiting is an objective assessment. You were. With no clues to the contrary, I cannot interpret words such as 'noob' and 'retarded' any other way, especially when the derogatory posts continued when I first tried to play along with the joke. I believe you that it's in jest, and can take it as such without taking offense, but in the future you'll have to be careful...not just with mods but with anyone, since sarcasm and lightheartedness is not overtly evident in many such cases, and certainly wasn't in this one.

And I can't see the humor in bringing heated quarrels up again that I was a part of, so I'm saddened, not angered, and certainly not amused. Sorry to kill the joke...it just isn't that funny to me.

You'll have to excuse me, what with the (apparently failed) ban attempt on Trick and the draft debacle involving ill and myself, it hasn't been the greatest pre-tourney for me. I was trying more than anything to avoid another incident, which led to my handling of the situation as it was. It was hard to see the sarcasm though. Just a 😉 smilie or something similar at some point makes all the difference. It's generally safe to avoid being ambiguous with such things. You'd be surprised how many warnings I end up issuing in similar misunderstandings.
