Sure we should apologies for inflicting you guys with Coldplay and Oasis but at the same time you gave us 50 Cent and Maroon 5. Basically I find the large majority of music nowadays (regardless of what side of the Atlantic it's come from) to be well frankly coma-inducing.

Bob Dylan couldn't sing for shit, but it works. Johnny Rotten? Couldn't sing. Mick Jagger? Couldn't sing. The Guy From Aerosmith? Couldn't sing. Still awesome, imo.

Also, saying a band is overrated is silly, why base opinions on other peoples opinions? I love the Beatles for what they are, not because they're hailed as the greatest band ever or whatever.

Of course Lyddon couldn't sing, not many Punk frontmen could (with the possible exception of The Damned's David Varian). Personally I think Jagger and Steven Tyler can but then again I speak to people who don't classify death metal vocals as a style of singing, all comes down to your perception of a singer and more to the point a good one at that.
