Not much, how art thou, mine friend?

It is, indeed, the thought which matters most when giving and receiving gifts. Just this week I went ahead and gave Kit hers early, and she absolutely went crazy (good thing) over a shirt. It's a fleece long sleeved shirt, blue, and she was thrilled because A. it's colder than Hell out here, and B. blue's her favorite color. She said it's the best thing she's gotten in years.

I am god.

That's awesome.

Awesome

Just stopping in for a sec.

Hope you all have a Cool Yule and a Groovy New Year.

What's cookin'? Pretty alright done here with me, wonderin' if the cold will go away.

Oh, the usual. My mother's kicked me outta the house with no explanation, and thusly I am now bunking for another week or so with my father in Denver.

I find this song befitting of life as of late...

SONG: CROSSROADS
ARTIST: AVENGED SEVENFOLD

I've been traveling for so long
so lost till I stumbled upon
two roads in front of me, I had to take my time
to the right I could see a church
I took a step in that direction first
but to the left there was a watering hole
where they were whiskey drunk
and now that's where I wanna be

The fire down here goes on and on

If I was perfect then this would be easy
Either road is plausible on both I could drown
I walk through the center with no rules to guide me
I realize it's difficult but now I can see

There's gotta be another way to go,
a way that's much more feasible
A combination of all these lives,
a central path without choosing a side
I make decisions one at a time
and no I never say I'm always right
I'm confident that when I stand on my own
you'll see the truest form of a man when I'm shining through

The fire down here goes on and on

If I was perfect then this would be easy
Either road is plausible on both I could drown
I walk through the center with no rules to guide me
I realize it's difficult but now I can see

Oh, I hear them now
all the religious rhymes
(Anger I see)
(Anger I see)
(Anger I see now)

The left isn't better
it's just more of the same
condemning all these people for what they believe
I'll climb to the top of their mountain again

No harness up to save me this way
and the closer to the top I get
the more they take aim
but I'm not you

I may not be perfect but I've always been true
I may not be worthy in your eyes
Climb up from the bottom for the last time,
the last one, the last one, the last time

If I was perfect then this would be easy
Either road is plausible on both I could drown
I walk through the center with no rules to guide me
I realize it's difficult but now I can see

Hang in there dude, we all have to get kicked to the ground sometime in life. It's good that you can relate to music man.

Oh, it's cool. I'm not upset about it. I've been looking for a reason to leave for a while, and just couldn't justify it to myself. So... Guess it's finally time to try and kickstart the band again... See if I can call my no-account drummer back in from New Orleans in a coupla weeks and start tryin' to rake in some cash... Try and find out if Kit still wants to go in half on an apartment... The usual... XP

Good luck with that, bandmate harmony is hard to obtain at times.

Solstice, how art thou?

I'm good, I go back to school tomorrow, which I'm happy about.

How is it with you?

Oh, same old song and dance.

I see.

I usually reward good band behavior with trips to the beer store or pizza.

Not a bad idea, truth be told.
