USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (JEDI)- Purity

After going through some of his sister's things, he decides to try looking for something that could give him a clue of where his sister may be now.

Gallagher- no no, that can't be it, not on its own.

Where are the guards? And her staff? Is the building still cleared as a crime scene? Yu thought it may have been released by now.

"What?" calls Joylo over the din. "Nothing!"

Two down, one to go...

Have I lost Joylo's attention?

You get one more question.

"What has Twain done to get all deals taken off the table?" Jelena asks before she loses Joylo's attention to the frantic atmosphere of the Basilica.

"Don't you watch the news?" says Joylo (which was indeed probably the best way to get it; remember the giant screen?)

"Twain has announced that none of the companies under his control will accept the food vouchers any more!"

Jelena frowns. Oh you clever devil...

"I recall you telling me that reformating the food voucher system would play an important role in the Committee's deliberations. But someone with such vast wealth and many holdings retracting their accepting of the vouchers... it screwed up all possible plans for fixing the problem, didn't it?"

(Totally forgot about the screen... damn.)

He's too busy to go into details, I am afraid.

"With Andors going under his control, Twain now controls two thirds of the Galaxy's food production companies! Of course it changes things!"

(Theory! The money that Sienar made off of aspidrol smuggling could have gone into Twain's pocket so that he would purchase Andors Incorporated... meaning you might be able to book him for that? You'd have to trace the money in the next hour...)

If it had been released as a crime scene, then the guards and the staff would have been back in place awaiting her arrival, yes? So something is amiss in her room in that Gallagher encountered no-one upon entering. Does it look as if anyone has been here? Her maids tending to her bed or cleaning up whatever mess there was after her initial kidnapping?

(Twain is already suoer-rich.)

No... it looks like no-one has been here...

And yet if the crime scene had been released by now, they would have been here to attend to Kellan upon her arrival. So for some reason they have not been here... at all.

Why would they not come?

Being paid servants to our family, I imagine they would not come back if they were told not to.

And who might tell them that?

Someone in my family... like my father? Or my sister?

Well, your father is meant to be at tis family retreat, not in a position to give such orders.

Then it would have had to have been my sister that gave the orders for them not to return. Gallagher is very uncomfortable with this thought. Why would she do that?

Indeed, why would she?

And so why have your instincts led you here? The Force may seem magical but Instincts are, in the end, about being in tune with what is around you, unlike the Cosmic Force where you can actually see things you wouldn't otherwise know.

There has been something not quite right about this from the start. A mystery you've been missing, an unanswered question you have let go. And the answer is here.

"I can see how that would obliterate any chance of reaching a settlement," Jelena says. "Oh dear. Thank you, Senator, you have been a great help."

I think we have learned all we can from Joylo about this situation. We know what happened, but only Twain knows why or how this is connected to Sienar. We need to be able to expose this specific thing... but we don't have the evidence. We could've found out about Twain's plans sooner if we had looked at his recent business stuff, rather than trying to get a summary of it.

Maybe... my sister's kidnapping was not so much a kidnapping as it was my sister going with Rundell. Zaland's brother must have been surprised for his gun not to have been drawn... but maybe it was not an ambush but a sudden change of situation? Kellan's 'friends' suddenly trying to kill him in order to get her away from him and the family.

That's unnerving. But why would Rundell try to kill her if she was in on whatever has been going on? He was her boyfriend, after all.
