A man that you are acknowledging as a pivotal turning point in human culture and history. Which would seem to make him much more important that "some guy Christians think was god".
Jesus is a man who was a pivotal turning point in human culture and history. There is no denying that.

A lot of people would disagree with that. Let alone having his birth cause the creation of the current era.
😆 You are going to deny that last 2000 years of western history? 🙄 People can hate Jesus all they like, but there have only been a handful of people in history that have had as much influence.

I don't deny it but have you missed all the conversations about how nothing about Christianity is new? ie all the ideas presented by Jesus could be credited to others

I have not read back in the thread, but I honestly find that to be irrelevant. We should move on from were we are now.

It doesn't need to be new...
Infact, I could become President- reintroduce Nazi policies and take over the world and change the shape of history- the fact Hitler had the ideas before me wouldn't make me any less pivotal in history.

While Jesus' legacy definately helped shape the world as it is today, there is no reason to believe a lack of his existance would make that alternate future better (or worse).

I don't care about the existence of Jesus. I just don't want to change the calendar more then I have too. Going to BCE/CE is the simplest thing to do.
