So it's confirmed apparently:Spoiler:
Niall's tribe existed 3.5k years BEFORE Christ and Warlow slaughtered them. He's older than Russell. Stupid.
Spoiler:. The wiki also mentions that
Niall himself existed ATLEAST 3500 years prior to Jesus's birth
Spoiler:.
Warlow is 5000 years old, which would make Niall older than him, which directly contradicts what the series have told us so far
Anyways, Warlow being older than Russell was practically confirmed when it was revealed earlier on in the series that he was the Progeny of Lilith.
We didn't know Warlow was older until the premiere. As of the S5 finale, Russell was the oldest vamp in existence. And that was his schtick since S3 and the absolute source of the character's lethality.
They didn't need to make Warlow older than Russell. We already knew he possessed eldritch powers, which makes him dangerous enough.

I did get it from the wiki and when I checked, it said Warlow was at least 5.5k years old.
Originally posted by The_TempestIt isn't stupid as Russell is still the oldest vampire. Warlow is the oldest hybrid. We already see the clear differences in how these characters interact with each other. Russell is far more brutal and evil than Warlow.
Because it was Russel's schtick. Warlow already had his: eldritch fairy powers. Smacks of gratuitous oneupsmanship.
Originally posted by The_TempestRussell is still far more dangerous due to his ruthlessness and craziness. We know a faerie less powerful than the Elder in Claudine was able to successfully able to bfr Warlow and that tactic failed the Elder against Russell.

Granted Warlow has no weaknesses yet but its early on and I'm sure his faerie blood would make him a liability against Russell but we still have to stay tuned.
Originally posted by RobtardNo, that's blatantly false. That comment was made before they brought Russell onto the show.
Godric > Russell, according to the show. As Eric said, "there are none above him[Godric] in the new world" ie America. Too bad the character turned out to be a boy-band turd mungler.

He's older than Godric and therefore greater. Russell >>>Godric both in terms of age, power, feats, and ruthlessness.

He's a hybrid. It isn't stupid. Different characters and Russell was still the oldest pure vampire in the show.
Oldest "pure" vampire? Jesus Christ, quan. What's next? "Uh... He's still the oldest vampire in the show under 6 ft? ...Oldest gay vampire in the show? ...Oldest vampire in the show who hated Eric?"

What Eric said > you.

Anyways, Warlow's eldritch nature coupled with his backstory that only handful of vampires know about, easily gives him the potential to be a greater threat than Russell. Character-wise there is no doubt that Warlow is beneath Russell's toenails, but in terms of threat-to-everyone potential, Warlow is essentially ahead of Russell.
Originally posted by The_TempestHybrids are different than pure species. Vampires all have the same weaknesses but Warlow doesn't due to being a hybrid.

He's a vampire/faerie. Russell is just a vampire. Huge difference.
Originally posted by TheGodKillerHe was already defeated by Claudine. The faerie elder was greater than Claudine. Unlike Warlow Russell was never defeated by any faerie.
Wut? He practically used Jason as a human shield. Going by your logic, since Warlow managed to defeat the king of all fae(who's >>>> the Faery Elder), that alone makes Warlow more dangerous than Russell.Anyways, Warlow's eldritch nature coupled with his backstory that only handful of vampires know about, easily gives him the potential to be a greater threat than Russell. Russell also speed blitz killed her after he used Jason as a shield. Russell is far too ruthless to be considered at this point as less than Warlow.
Warlow is essential to bring down Bilith. That's it due to the sun weakness not being there for him.

Warlow's resistance to sunlight and silver is more in part to his part-fae heritage, rather than just the fact that he's a hybrid. I doubt that a vampire/witch hybrid would lack any of the vampiric weaknesses.
