All vampires are obsessed with faerie blood hence why they had to go into hiding. Russell went after the only faeries he had knowledge of. He was unaware of their existence but Warlow has an obsessed revenge fest against their family. Russell was just power hungry and enjoyed the taste of faerie blood as do all vampires.

You are still watching so I'm sure they are fine by your continued support.

Yeah, Vampires love fairy blood. Done already to the point of boredom and exhaustion.

Really don't see why you're trying to make an argument here(well I do, but it's silly), they're just recycling the story. Polishing the same turd and presenting it as something new, so to speak. I for one won't just smile and accept it.

Vampires loving faerie blood is not going to change.

I enjoy the new characters. They don't need to reinvent the show and I'm happy with where its going so far. I get it lacks repetitive action but try to keep an open mind here.

Warlow was threatening already due to his eldritch powers. Making him older and stronger than Russell is unnecessary and hamfisted.

Minus a zillion points.

Who said he was older and stronger than Russell ? We know he is a few thousand years old and probably the oldest alive but Russell is dead. He was the most powerful we had already seen just straight up vampire.

Warlow is really old but we don't know if he was older or younger than Russell at this point.

Warlow is alleged to be a progeny of Lilith herself, making him untold eons old (if you believe the Vampire Bible). Concrete dates aren't given, of course, but he's implied to be older than any vampire but Lilith.

I am going by the series. When was this revealed ? In the series Godric is portrayed differently as are many characters with subtle differences along with their ages and what not from what I hear.

Even if the series goes with the he's older route; who cares ? Why is it ridiculous to have an extremely old vampire around ?

The season premiere, Eric's sister (whose name escapes me) infodumps Warlow's background.

Because Russell was hyped/advertised as the oldest and strongest vampire in the world. Warlow already had his magical expertise/eldritch powers as his schtick, he didn't need Russell's too.

I will rewatch it tonight. Only saw the first episode one time.

To me the oldest thing is no big deal. I liked Russell's personality, his witty dialogue, his insanity, etc.

He was very old but to me its silly to have him as the oldest vampire around still at only around 3,000 years. It makes sense in a way since Warlow was trapped in this dark dimension.

There have been only two characters thus far I've really liked. Both were awesome in different ways such as Russell and Godric. I think Warlow's look is awesome but I am hoping for a more serious character who is just hell bent on achieving his goals. That is what will define him as a character for me.

I get that you want him to be a different threat outside the whole Hes the oldest living vampire in existence but I mean Billith seems to be the crazy powerful one now with her powers. He's as lame as ever to me, personally.

I hope Warlow can foot the bill here so to speak.

Nora. Also, some of us haven't started watching the series yet, so please use spoilers.

Rewatched both eps and the fee thousand years was just how long he was obsessed with the faerie bloodline. He's extremely old.

What's there to enjoy about Warlow thus far? All we know is that he's extremely old and he's got a hard-on for Stackhouse blood. Oh look, it's Russel again with just a little spin, yet probably won't have the same charisma which made him great. Rutger's just an old fat fairy with fairy blast powers. You got it wrong again, it doesn't lack repetition, that's the point. ie same turd, just polished.

This guy gets it.

Did you find the quick "oh, we figured out how to not be glamoured" way they did away with that. Found that weak and cheap.

No, it hasn't. This is the general reason faeries went into hiding so this won't just go away just because you find it boring.

His look, the fact Hes aware of faeries, and is hell bent on this particular family's destruction.

It is not Russell. We don't know a thing about him but I guarantee the character traits of Russell won't match Warlow's.

We don't know about Rutger yet and he's already shown a new secret supernova power which is a cool add in here.

Show is exciting again post Russell's death for me. I get it you hated Russell and are pre hating Warlow. It's fine I simply disagree.

It has. We have past seasons as proof. You're being silly now.

His look? Not much to see except that he's maybe a pirate or just homeless. The rest is just more Russell copying.

He's seemingly a Russell knockoff. "Not a thing"? You seem to know enough to go balls deep over him already. Make up your mind.

LoL. Okay. "new secret supernova power".

And the lies and strawman arguments start cos you're butthurt. I in fact have said Russell is one of the good characters in the show.
In regards to Russell:

What a terrible, dull and un-climatic ending for the only good villain of the series.

You tired, Quanchi. You tried.

It's something which won't change, vampires wanting to kill faeries.

He has a cool looking Undertaker like look. No, as being an old vampire isn't all Russell was about. You're ignoring everything else to sell your superficial argument.

You said Russell was terrible as last season progressed whereas I said his scenes were the best of the entire season.

Russell and Warlow are nothing alike save they are old and want to kill faeries. That's it. I'm saying Warlow shows promise. You think he doesn't. That's fine. I tend to like different things than you. I'm glad you already hate Warlow.

Oh well, you just don't get it. Moving on.

Cool undertaker? LoL, k.

Try arguing what I said and not what you made up. I said the way Russell died was terrible writing. A good villain needs a good death; he went out like a punk.

They're nothing alike except they're alike. Good, brilliant, that. And more strawmen tactics. Just stop already you silly boy.

I did get your superficial argument which doesn't break the skin as its superficial.

He has a cool look.

I agree the death was stupid. But you also said he was acting stupid in season five which I wholeheartedly disagree with,

They have a few superficial similarities such as drinking faerie blood(all vamps love it) and are old. That about sums it up. Wow, they are practically the same guy.

I wish I had HBO, I'd definitely watch shows like these.

Oakley Sunglasses

Just saw both episodes. Don't really see what the problem is with Warlow's portrayal. The guy's barely even interacted with any character yet to warrant negative criticism.

Anyways, I am more interested in how Alcide's storyline is turning out to be. It's pretty clear that Bill's conversation with Jessica in ep 1 about how power corrupts is manifesting in real time in Alcide's plot.

No, you didn't and it's the reason why you made your own argument and attacked that.

There was nothing much. But you go with that.

Good you agree, yet you'll continue arguing.

Again, see above, you missed it and are making your arguments. Oh well.
