In a previous post I wrote Gambit during his New son powerup was so amped that Batroc and Zaran or whatever commented they had never seen Gambit fight like that
I pointed that out because Silent Master was saying Bullseye beat a whack Gambit
I also pointed out that the excuse that pressure was getting to Gambit is not true Because at that time The rival Assassins guild were actively shadowing him and electing him to restructure their organisation.
Newson was forcing Gambit to break the blocks Sinister put on his powers. Gambit states on panel that although he grows weary after physical exertion when his powers are activated he is rejuvenated. The downside of the powerup is those he loves are at risk.
Silent Master posted a scan of Gambit storming out of the xmansion and leaving Colussus and Rogue with instructions to stay out of his business. Gambit detonates the pier in anger and is shown sinking to his knees, holding his head in his hands.
At That time Gambit could now touch Rogue without her hurting him.
But the irony is with the increase in his powers he would kill her if they made out. And even if he wanted to get close It would bring her into the drama he was going thru. After that panel The xmen follow him anyway and save him when a former xman attacks Gambit. [Gambit holds back trying not to hurt the xman] Nightcrawler teleports Remy to the Blackbird where everyone agrees that it really is a good idea to keep out of Gambits business.
IMO classic Gambit can win 1-2/10

I originally said that about Bullseye vs Gambit. Not Silent Master.
Once again, that means absolutely nothing here. Gambit's powers were a liability he could not risk at that time. The Assassins Guild's interest in him doesn't change anything. They are irrelevant in this.

Lets agree on which version of Gambit we're using in this debate.
For The record I am not using the version you refer to in your post above.
Classic Gambit is Shiva's equal in Agility and Reflexes. Where Shiva can kill with a touch, sword, throwing knife or shuriken Gambit can blow stuff up with a card toss. lol.
