Well, still no power here, but they have power across the street. I am running on battery power alone. We have water though. Luckily I bought enough food for a few days, because all of the stores have been closed til today. No more clean undies dammit.

Ike's damn remains ripped through Indiana yesterday and put my damn city in a state of emergency. Half the city is without power AND it knocked down 30 trees or more. >.>

I'm making fun of them? I was laughing at heat_vision, not all those people. And do you honestly think any of them believed they could have protected their stuff by staying there? Galveston was under mandatory evacuation. Those who stayed knew what was coming. They would have stood a better chance at protecting themselves and their pets if they had left. As for protecting their homes, how are you gonna protect your home against mother nature?

People had places to go and plenty of time to do it, FEMA would even help them if they couldnt afford it. I agree 100%, those who remained behind were stubborn to do so.

I was safe being inland in Houston, but I hope Heat Vision, at the last minute, decided to evacuate.
