I dont think he shut off Protege's powers, but will agree on the other 2.

The energy muzzle is much different than a pair of handcuffs & a potatoe sack over his head. It keeps them completely restrained from doing anything whatsoever and have no idea whats going on. Protege' had the Living Tribunals power and was STILL confined.

Who stoped Protege's anyways? Even Tho Scathan has the tools to hold them, how would he even stop them in the first place? 🤣

The actual stopping is unknown. After we see Protege with the tri-face, Scathan gives him the thumbs down. The scene cuts out for a page or 2 and when we come back Protege is already muzzled.

however even U have to admit that this is naught but pure speculation since I cant come up with ANOTHER TIME when Scathan has shown up and done this to sum1 else, and guaged how well/horrible they fared against it.
also, we're talking about a neophyte cosmic who only had the powers/abilities he was able to observe, and w/o any experience in how o use them to his advantage in a situation like this.
point of fact: did Protege gain the ability to telelport?? if not, then the argument could be made that even w/o being able to see the 5d imps could simply go home, get freed *somehow*, then come back.
