Spider-Man vs The Predator

Mr. Predator, I would like to introduce you to one hotshot web-slinger. Hotshot web-slinger, Mr. Predator.

There's something lurking in the streets of New York that has both good guys and bad guys on edge.

Someone...or something is killing violent bad guys, skinning them and in some cases, leaving their bodies without their skulls and spines.

The X-men are baffled, as is the Fantastic Four. Peter Parker, on the other hand, is going to have a first-hand view as to who is doing the killings.

While on his nightly patrol as Spider-Man, Parker's Spider-sense goes haywire as he narrowly avoids a plasma blast. Turns out that the Predator has been scouting Spidey.

"There's a face only a mother could love," Parker mutters as he dodges several more plasma blasts, leading the Yatuja on a wild goose chase to an empty lot, where they can fight without innocents being harmed.

This is going to be one hell of a match.

I think Spiderman is stronger, but both are as fast.

If it goes into melee, Predator is screwed, he needs to stay at a distance and use his weaponry.

Spiderman rips him in half.

Sigh. Spidey's almost precog spidey-sense will make all the Pred's invisibility gimmick and laser blasts nothing. His strength is also too much for the Pred to handle. He can get destroyed with a few punches to the face.

Spiderman is faster, stronger and has spider sense. He has also fought enemies with weaponry, far more advanced than what the Predators use. Predator is cooler though. That has to count for something

It counts that he's pretty cool. It probably won't save him the fight. Predator is strong enough to not be completely destroyed in one hit because of his superhuman strength, but he's still not strong enough to take on Spidey.

Hmmm... Just wondering how Spidey gets around Pred's invisibility cloak?

Also, Predator is used to facing agile opponents, namely Aliens.

But overall, I can't see Spider-man losing.

On a side note, if we take comic Spider-man into consideration, he has beaten Mysterio many times, so he should have no problem beating a cloaked Predator.

The spidey sense warns him of anyone/anything "cloaked" period.

^ Yeah, that will let him dodge pretty much anything Pred can throw at him, but if Pred decides to play hide and seek, Spidey can't really tag him, unless Predator was really close by.

I'd imagine he'd use common sense and find a way to make him stand out by tagging him.

Did Peter Parker ever use the Spider Sense in the movies to see something invisible?

If it didn't happen in the movies, I don't see why we should assume he can...

Well, first off the Predator isn't really invisible. Both Arnold and Danny Glover were able to see it when looking straight at it. Second, spidersense allows Peter to react to objects he isn't even aware are there... so I don't see why. How is something invisible any different then something that is behind you and you don't know is there?

Because his spider sense allows him to sense or "see" things which are visible, but not in his field of vision.

But remembering, you are right, Predator is not truly invisible.

Predator is screwed.

Love Pred, especially Wolf Pred, but Spidey has the ability to evade anything Pred can do. Spidey ftw

Wolf was the main character from AVP:R. The Predator, I mean.

you know what, i retract my original post. I think the Predator actually has a damn good chance here. If Kraven can take Spidey down. An Intergalactic hunter can too. Spidermans spidey sense only warns him of immediate threat. There is no way, Spiderman would be able to see the Predator, unless he is making a round to attack Spidey in closed quarters. The predator is going to stick with his hunting techniqes. He will attack from afar and after Spidey has dodged the Predators plasma blast, disc or retracting net. The Predator will have moved to another position. He isn't going to attack Spiderman directly, he is going to hunt and lure spiderman to his own death. I give this to the Predator.
