Ramis Sheds Some Truth on Ghostbusters
Source:MTV March 28, 2009MTV sat down with Harold Ramis to talk about the upcoming Ghostbusters 3. A script is currently being hashed out by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (both of The Office, no director has been attached yet.
Ramis promised that all the old core players will take part in the updated version, including Bill Murray (Dr. Peter Venkman) and Dan Aykroyd (Dr. Raymond Stantz), who co-wrote the original films. "We're all going to be in it in different kinds of roles," Ramis said. "We're going to be the sage mentors. There are going to be young Ghostbusters."

no. they wrote the script for the movie and it got shot down. Murray wouldnt even get involved. Akroid and Ramis took it to a game format and it was accepted. they worked on it from they with the game designers. thats what happened to the movie.

Dan Aykroyd Talks More Ghostbusters 3
Source: The Guardian May 26, 2009The Guardian interviewed Dan Aykroyd, who talked a bit more about Ghostbusters 3, which is in development at Columbia Pictures. Here's an excerpt:
And now for the supernatural bit: after coming together for the game, all the players have stated their intentions to go back, and a script is being written by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, writers on the US Office. According to reports the original cast will act as mentors, handing the company over to a new generation, likely to be from the Seth Rogen and Steve Carell class of actors who are filling up just the same space in Hollywood as Aykroyd and Murray once did. "There'll be a whole new generation that has to be trained and a leader that you'll all love when you meet her," says Aykroyd. "There'll be lots of cadets, boys and girls who'll be learning how to use the neuron splitter and the inter-planet interceptor - new tools to enable them to slip from dimension to dimension."
definitely a movie coming and also the game 🙄
Lets hope its a good sequal compared to Mr Lucas's 20 to 30 year wait for his franchises which were bit of a let down for some.
nice "excerpt" you forgot to quote the part that it was shot down and not green lighted, the cast refused to do it other than Dan, no filming or production has been approved. all you quoted was what the script was about that was mentioned earlier and the ideas Dan had for it. give it up already. what are you a seven year old?
