Sagat runs the Dead or Alive Gauntlet

One Emperor. Eight fighters.

Said eight fighters stood around the DOATEC wrestling ring as they warily watched their opponent.

Dressed in his white-and-red kickboxing trunks Sagat slowly circled the ring three times. Then he walks over to the middle of the ring, drops to his knees and bows three times.

Jann Lee nudges Zack. "What the hell is he doing?"

"He's performing the wai khru muay ram, the dance of Muay Thai," Zack replies. "The dance is used to show respect to the teachers and the trainers. Also, in the past Muay Thai was usually fought in front of the king, so the dance was also to apologize to the King for the brutality in fighting."

"And the bowing?" Ayane asked.

"In reverence to both God and man," the self-styled Muay Thai fighter explained. "Now he is doing the Ram Muay. It's series of simple movements which demonstrates the prowess and fighting skills."

His dance finished, Sagat moves to his corner. The fight is about to begin.

The match is simple. Sagat has to fight through eight DOA fighters. Should he win his match, he starts off back at 100 percent.

The fighters are:

1. Zack
2. Jann Lee
3. Ayane
4. Hayate
5. Bass Armstrong
6. Kasumi
7. Christie
8. Ryu Hayabusa

Sagat wins by taking off his eye-patch, thus releasing all of his stored up power thousand-fold.

Hayabusa is the only one who has a chance, but not in his DOA mode.

Like I said loses to Ayane based on that.

The list seems out of order. Christie has no business being place as high as she is. Neither does Bass for that matter.

He could very well get stopped at number 1 Snafu's lineup. Zack's durability is rediculous.

Oh, and yes. I did put Hayate below Zack. Hayate is only above Jann Lee because of the teleport and he beat Hayabusa once.

I'm not completely sure of where'd he'd stop right now to be honest. I'd estimate Zack at most, but I'd like to hear some of the arguments from Sagat fans.

Ayane and Hayabusa are the only ones that would probably beat Sagat.

Zack how is Kasumi stronger than Ayane?

She is faster and is more effective with her teleportation and she can fire chi/ki with a smaller charge time than Ayane.

Which is why I give her an extra win since Ayane's most destructive attack requires her to charge it which would grant Sagat a window to punish and KO Ayane.

It is not because I think Kasumi > Ayane.

Keep in mind, the difference in the ninja(except Hayate who sucks), is razor thin. For example, Ayane and Kasumi have beaten each other once. The same for goes for Kasumi and Hayabusa depending on how you interpret DOA1. In a fight against each other, it'd be pretty much a 5/10 split for any of the DOA Big Three.

However, Kasumi would be a harder fight in a bout with no weapons for other combatants, like Sagat, compared to her DOA peers. That's why I placed her higher. It's not necessarily saying she'd beat Ayane or Hayabusa for a majority.

He is faster IMO, just going by the gameplay.

The Tengu, who was creating storms across the world and shit, was EASILY defeated by Ryu.

He is far more experienced.

There is a reason Ryu is called the "superninja".

The Tengu was filled with arrogance towards his own race, and considered humans to be nothing. Hayabusa was dead serious about his mission and proceeded to lay the smackdown.
