Hayabusa has survived blasts that blew off the top of a mountain as of NG2.

He is faster IMO, just going by the gameplay.

The Tengu, who was creating storms across the world and shit, was EASILY defeated by Ryu.

He is far more experienced.

There is a reason Ryu is called the "superninja".

Never said she was more durable, however she did fall from a skyscraper while fighting Alpha-152.

Kasumi moves fast enough to turn into a beam of light. She is faster than Hayabusa.

We don't know how easily it was accomplished. However, the only meteorological phenomenon Tengu can use in battle was a small whirlwind. That is avoidable by all the ninja, even Hayate though.

Experience doesn't really amount to much once both fighters get to a certain level. Ask Hayate.

Which is not even half of Ryu's durability feat, and he has done similar in NG.

2. ...Kay. That's just an animation effect/art style, not a solid indication of lightspeed, and besides, Ryu Hayabusa does similar.

3. Was it not stated he easily beat Tengu?

4. Hayate is a joke and deserves death for even existing.

But honestly, Ryu deals with beings on a much greater level than anything Ayane or Kasumi does.

As pointed out, Kasumi, does not have a solo title. Naturally, Ryu has more "omg" feats.

2. He doesn't materialize as light though. Even without that, going by DOA4, Kasumi still outspeeds him.

3. No.

4. Agreed.

Hayabusa does indeed does that.....with powerful weapons and other items in his solo title. Take that away and you get a guy who is quite in Kasumi's league.

Heck, without weapons, Hayabusa lost to Hayate. Both Kasumi and Ayane have yet to lose to Hayate. 😖hifty:

1. And better feats. 🙂

2. So? Not a speed feat, and that is CLEARLY a jutsu. How? Based on what out of curiosity?

3. Still a victory above any of Kasumi's IMO...Kasumi's only boss victory was with Raidou.

4. I joygasmed when Raidou pwned him with his own move.

What "powerful weapons?" Only the TDS or the Blade of the Archfiend would really count as powerful weapons. The Dragon Sword...Well all that is is a really sharp sword. He still has to use his speed and strength when fighting. He fights beings that destroy a military battallion in one move and beings that cover cities with storms. And his jutsu, well since he aquired those before DOA, why can't he use them?

and you forget one thing, much like his SF counterpart, Ryu has Hadoukens. 131

Kasumi's teleportation will render most of Hayabusa's chi/magic attacks useless, as will Hayabusa's.

We're talking hand to hand no weapons involved right?

Yeah.

But by feats...Ryu's durability is enough to tank any of Kasumi's ninpo, at least any I have seen.

1. Better feats with weapons.

2. That's not a jutsu. This isn't naruto and Kasumi doesn't cast anything. She straight up runs at you, turns into light, and goes through you. Even without the light run, when you said "going by gameplay" that pretty much killed Hayabusa. Kasumi factually moves faster in the game. I can show you if you'd like.

3. It's not above Raidou. All of Tengu's powerful attacks can be negated through teleports. It's the one things DOA ninja have that set them apart from many other combatants in a fight. I'd bank on Raidou being a harder fight since he can also teleport and copy attacks.

You just mentioned some of the powerful weapons. He can use his ninpo. It won't matter, as each one will whiff when Kasumi teleports...then attacks him.

Oh. Zack Fair. I just realized who you were. What's up man? Been too long.

I have lost interest in this debate as of now.

But that's fvckin cold man, you remember him, but not me? 🙁

What can I say Jaxx?

I'm just that damned good.

Yeah it has been a while. Good to know you are still around.

What are your thoughts on Itagaki leaving Tecmo?

Bah, you're old news. 😛

No, I remember you. It's just that I've seen you around way more. I thought Zack had like...died or something.

I'm suprised, yet anxious. Tecmo stated that they do plan on continuing DOA in some form. It will be interesting seeing the game under a new creative director. Hopefully, the fans can get what we want and finally see a Kasumi/Ayane game, a game not all about the ninja, and improved fighting mechanics. I personally really like the idea of expanding the universe beyond just the DOA tournament. Especially if it's not just Hayabusa who gets his own game.

That's all just wishful thinking though. However, I did see an article where the new Tecmo hinted that DOA as a fighting game will be no more.

As for Itagaki, I hope he finds something better. Tecmo did screw him over it seems.

Re: Re: Sagat runs the Dead or Alive Gauntlet

In the spirit of bumping somewhat aged DOA threads, I pose a question.

2. Sagat 7/10
3. IMO it is split 5/10
4. Sagat 6-7/10
5. Sagat 9/10
6. Kasumi 6/10
7. Sagat 9/10
8. Hayabusa 7-8/10

What exactly is Sagat's offensive output? I noticed you give a large majority to him over Zack. The reason I was undecided on this fight, is because of Zack's insane durability. He survived Zack Island exploding, fell off the Tri-Tower flat on his face and still fought Bayman, was eaten by a large shark, and had a jetpack propel him from the sky to the ground....on his face at high speeds. The only event that slightly dazed him was Zack Island exploding.

I had a hard time determining a victor between the two myself. However, I don't know every single one of Sagat's feats, so I'm asking someone who knows more about it.

He has manly scars and an eyepatch, with bg muscular arms and chest.

Isn't that enough?

Sagat wins by taking off his eye-patch, thus releasing all of his stored up power thousand-fold.

Or maybe even a sharingan....also destroying them all.

No... it's his bankai.

No it isn't you noob.

Sagat doesn't know his Zanpakuto's name, he just has immense amounts of Spiritual Pressure.

I didn't say it was Kenny's bankai, you foolish fool of a fool.

Even if he had a bankai it wouldn't involve taking off his eye patch. 😐

Kenny doesn't have a Bankai either, you silly little nilly.

It would involve ripping the skin off his scar.

"I didn't say it was Kenny's bankai"

You just said Kenny had a bankai. Noob.

No I didn't, douche' bag. I said Sagat had a bankai.
