you keep repeating this as if this somehow is relevant...when you know as well as anyone else that one can be extremely powerful while not having impressive 'strength' feats. thus, describing the strength of a being whose very power has nothing to do with strength is deliberate drawing attention away from the true issues.

Are you in this tourney? We go by feats around these parts. Any character can be extremely powers. That is the point of the tourney. to take someone who hasn't done anything merge them withsomeone to unlock thier potential. Miss martian has the potential to be extremely powerful, but only if her mental blocks were released. now please, go away.

Starscream's point may be valid, but is beside the issue: that we need concrete bios/appearances/etc. in order to determine the legality and price of the pick.

We're waiting, FG. By the sounds of it, I'm curious if he actually does have 10 legit appearances, but we won't know until we can research him some other way than by reading your posts.

is this the guy?

yes.

Apparently not. He wants a newer version of him with less feats so that he can justify the 20 points. If it were the version you linked to, he'd easily have 10 appearances but would likely be 30 pts.

{edit} nvrmind. I guess fangirl's changing his story from a guy with a few appearances to one who's been around for decades.

Still, 20 points for that guy? lulz.

There are three versions of the guy. You should know that. I want the one who has the newest appearances becuz those are the comics that I presently have sitting in front of me. I could have easily drafted number 2 as he got killed with an energy over load. very noteworthy of 20 points. But I don't have the comics in front of me. I can't scan what I cant' get to. As if it matters. I'll get the combo I want one way or another. You should know that.

I should know how many versions of a character there are, even if I've never had experience with most of them before? I should know that simply because it makes it easier for you if we all know exactly what you want? To say it's childish to make such claims is a gross understatement.

It's your job to inform us of what we need to know concerning your team. Just like our match, where you tried to hold it against me that I didn't know everything about Alex. If you didn't do a good job informing me and the judges of what he was capable of, you can't make up for it by accusing us of needing to know more. That's sh*tty debating, just as it's sh*tty logic that we should know everything about comics just to placate your crappy draft procedure.

Starscream ended up posting the bio. You could've done that from moment 1. Instead you said a bunch of random stuff as though everyone on the planet should know it, the relied on someone else to finally post the bio that I asked for about 9 times.

As it is, you were a straight jerk in that post. I'd use a harsher word, which it also deserves, but would rather not stoop to a lower level than I need to in order to tell you how insulting that post is.

...

And I'm against him for 20 points. Vehemently. Others will need to offer their take as well, since I don't make the final call.

lulz

And if it's the newest version of him, and doesn't have all the appearances that were posted in Starscream's bio (which were the grandfather's showings, if I'm reading the bio correctly), we STILL don't know if he has 10 appearances to his name.

I posted the same god damned bio. As a matter of fact I posted two. if you weren't so busy trying to be mr. know it ****ing all, you would have seen it. As a matter of fact, the wiki bio was MORE informative with more info. Thanks. Doesn't ****ing matter. I'll keep the team I have until I get ready.

Nah, I posted one of them, and you never confirmed whether or not it was the right character. Your original one took me to a broken wiki link.

And I'm not trying to be a know-it-all. I'm asking you to provide the pertinent info for your character isntead of assuming that we're know-it-alls who will agree with your every character whim.

I'm over it and you digi. have a nice day. I found a better set of characters. My transaction is rendered null since it's incomplete.

Ok, fine. I'm curious though: If he was ok for 20 points and had 10 appearances, you could easily prove that to us and have the team that you want. So...is it that you honestly thought of something better in the 20 minutes that we've been arguing, or are you realizing that you're getting caught in a lie and/or doing something illegal, and thus ducking out of it?

You don't have to answer. I'm not sure whether or not I'd trust it at this point anyway.

All I asked for was information.

Let me make this clear. Whether you trust me or not is irrelevant. Becuz I' would have to respect your trust in order for me to care. And it's obvious That I though he had the ten appearances seeing as he was drafted in the justice society around the same time as judo master. Hell they have the same debut comic. And I drafted him at 25 when I though bishop was 20. Cuz I didn't want to hear anyone's mouths. even tho he doesn't have one class 20 feat. hell, not even class 10. Now. You have irked me.

I don't care if I irked you. We needed info for a brand new character. You gave us none, except vague feats listings that frankly had nothing to do with how you'd clearly be using him. I repeatedly asked for info: you provided none. That's what you have to do in order to justify your draft picks. And then you told me that I should know this guy and his appearances, despite being a brand new character in a series I'm not currently reading.

Now:

Did some research on my own based on our discussion. Of course, none of this is my burden, but was fangirl's to elucidate for us (which he did not).

Anyway, he claims he wants the newest Amazing Man (3rd version, Marcus Clay). Thus, this:

...was a lie, though it may not have been a knowing one. It details appearances for every Amazing-Man, not just the recent one.

Assuming he hasn't been around since before 2000 (if he's as new as fangirl says), comicvine lists only 8 appearances for him. Even presuming another few JSA comics which it may have missed (comicvine, however, is normally very thorough, so this is giving him a large benefit of the doubt), we still have the burden of 10 legit appearances, according to delph's earlier ruling...meaning, standing around on-panel doesn't count. They must include feats. I don't have all 8 issues, but on a team like the JSA, it's safe to assume that bumps him down to 5-6, at best.

So. He doesn't meet the appearance limit, and it's doubtful we have a definite power range for him. He's banned on that technicality regardless of his power level though.

📖 pwnt

hey I have a question:

If someone selects a character...and let's say nobody challenges it.

Then later on, during the actual debate, someone points out that the character has less than 10 appearances...would that character be disqualified or would he be allowed?

Doesn't matter. I could get technical and just draft Amazing Man 2. As a matter of fact. I will. Pwned. No need for bishop. Kick rocks.

And the fun part is that They all possess the same powers. Amazing man ii just happens to have more feats. Now what. back up off me. And I still got 15 points left.
