I always found Gandalf to be boring. Cool, but still boring.

I always liked Boromir. Imo he symbolized men better then any of the others.

QUOTED FOR FRICKIN TRUTH.

But yeah, Tolkien's work is definately richer and more thought out than SW. In terms of Literature quality, it is far superior IMO.

I love Boromir.

He was way cooler than Faramir, imo.

But alas... I see why he had to die.

And you sir, are ignoring the issue. We don't care about the ineptidude of Peter Jackson. He left out the Scouring of the Shire, and has since been darned to heck. JRR Tolkien >>>>>>>>>>>> George Lucas. The Flanneled one has nothing on the maker of Gandalf.

I, actually, wasn't a big fan of LotR. Lightsnake hurts me to this day about it.

'Tis true.

The only good thing Faramir has ever done is become inspiration for this.

And funny thing is it was also inspired by a quote for Boromir, they just used Faramir's body for whatever reason. 馃槓

Dude. That's Boromir.

yeah, i agree that i love star wars because of the idea, because what i can imagine when it comes to that universe, but as far as what is ACTUALLY THERE? Star Wars stories often end pathetically, dialogue is stupid, plots are never very thick. Yeah, actual content, LOTR all the way.

I scrolled down slowly and all I saw was the "One does not simply," I didn't give it another thought. Scroll down a moment later and LMFAO! Saving that one.

youtube "how Lord of the Rings should have ended" pretty funny stuff right there.

Saruman the White > Count Dooku

Enough said.

So star wars comes second and Lotr first

Did a mod really delete my post here? lol I thought it was funny.

I've watched all those "How It Should Have Ended" videos, those guys are quite creative. Their take on Beowulf is currently my favourite.

No it isn't.

Boromir never wore that outfit for one, and was never at that place, which is the battleground Frodo, Gollum, and the stupid fat Hobbit stumbled upon and were held captive at.

Although, both do look quite similar.

Yes it is, yes he did and yes he was- scene was fully filmed, is on the TTT Special Edition. It was actually a surprise it was not in the theatrical release, as it was rather important.

It's Boromir.

(They really don't look THAT similar, btw...)

The what?

Special Edition of The Two Towers, detailing his celebreation after re-taking Osgiliath, why he was sent to Rivendell instead of Faramir, and why Faramir acted like such an ass in TTT- absent of that scene, Faramir's story is sadly butchered.

Oh.

Well fvck you Blax.

Boromir successfully defended Osgiliath from the first attacks by Mordor- part of Faramir's motivation to attempt the defense against the Witch King's army.
