Kat sighed and glanced down at her leg. "You're not gonna stop asking if I say yes so... Really all it needs is cleaning. But I'd rather tend to the rest of the men, including you, before taking care of myself." She winked at Rek and started off to find ammo and other necessities before night fall. Shannon sighed and slowly followed after her mother, mumbling to herself under her breath. "Stubborn mule of a woman... Cant site down for a couple of hours.... She knows better but nooo.. gotta be like the rest of the men. gotta be tough. Not fooling anyone mom."
night xoxo))
A voice came over the radio of all active frequencies. "This is Lieutenant Book of the United States Marine Corps, Omega Devision. Today... The Americas were completely overtaken, and a very large portion of the population was infected. The four military divisions of the U.S. fought hard and long, but were over taken. Now, the infected wants to take the world. We may have been defeated, but this is our planet, God Damnit! <sound of fist hitting table.> We will not lose this battle, and we will not surrender! We will never be taken out of power, and we have to fight back now!" The radio abruptly cuts out.
Rek looked after Kat, then with a sigh, he turned back to Sam. "I'm going to need my suit reparied..."
"I'll get on it, unless you want to do it?"
Rek smiled. "Get me the tools, I'll do the job. I have some modifications in mind..." He pulled his explosive bag from the choppers cargo quarter, slinging it over his shoulder. "Just in case, y'know."
"Sure..." Sam smiled, turning to Frank, both of them climbing back onto the chopper. "Better sought through what we already got. Why do I get the feeling this is going to get some of us killed?" He asked no-one in particular.
Frank, the Lieutenant Commander, nodded to Rek, then with an exasperated sigh, followed Sam. "Don't start that again, wasn't the first outbreak bad enough-"
Rek had walked away somewhat, heading towards a group of service buildings and the radio tower. Once far enough from the others, so he was sure it was safe to do so, he opened his mind, hollowing out his eyes to a bland white colour... and was suddenly awash in the song of 'their' call. A mental call that slowly awakened his other senses. He shifted unnoticed through te waves of non dostinct minds already feeling the call beckoning his body to join again. He didn't fight it as before, just let his mind slip through the call, riding deeper into the current of a thousand voices (as if the Borg in Star Trek, which are in fact zombies, just bio-mechanical ones...).
He remained innopicious, and carefull closed his mind to the 'clan'. "They're coming and they are looking for me." Rek shook his head to clear the daze, his eyes returning to their natural blue.
A shadow flickered across him, then two glowing eyes pierced the darness. Rek immediatly reached for his assault rifle but paused mid-grip, a smile spreading across his face. "Corperal Traster. Nice of you to fid me before the others."
The Race Lord stepped out of the darkness, his eyes a golden reflection. "No thanks to you... and your training... sir." Traster approached Rek, carrying a bag of equipment. "I followed the orders your Alamagators gave me, everything you need is here, however, I had to raise Groom Lake to the ground, along with the Keeper they had locked there."
"Area-51 has been eliminated. Good. It would have only been a matter of time before it joined its brethren." Rek began walking beside Kevin Trastor. "If that equipment works on my suit , I'll be damned."
Kevin turned to Loran as they walked, frowning. "As infected, we already are damned. The Keeper's want you... specifcally you."
"Must piss them off that I'm nowhere to be found. Bloody hell!" Rek stopped short, looking at a pile of dead infected grunts, about two meters high. The smell of flesh rotting. "Your handy-work? I wondered why this f*cking place was so darelict."
Kevin smiled. "You noticed huh?"
Rek laughed as her moved passed th bodies. "Yeah..." He opened the door to the building. Twenty minutes later he was heading back to the chopper. Alone. "There are some vending machines in the radio tower, it might be a good place to hold up for the night." He grimaced. "Wheres Kat."
"Lieutenant Sands?"
"Umm-hmm." He nodded.
"Them buildings over there, sir, the service hangers."
Rek nodded and set off. "Thanks," he waved.
god when you really sit down to work on your posts they get kinda creepy. lol))
"Hey Shannon grab those bags over there. Let's fill them up and take them back to camp. We can bring everyone else back here tomorrow so they can fill their packs with what ever they need." Shannon nodded and drug three duffel bags over to the crates they had found. "It's not fuel but it will work." Kat snapped a glow stick and held it between her teeth as she pulled various things from the crates and tossed them to Shannon. She was filling her pack with medical supplies, leaving the other three for food, ammunition, and if they were lucky more guns. "This place gives me the creeps. It's too quiet here, huh?" Kat nodded in response to Shannons words, not really paying much attention as she dug through the wooden crates.
Jacob and Savannah both walked out from his room, dressed in full battle armor. They trudged down the stairs to see Ben standing on one of the second story balconies. His mask was pushed up and a cigarette hung lazily out of his mouth. Slowly he removed it from his mouth and just stared out into the woods, almost as if he was entranced. After a moment, he let the familiar blue-gray smoke of a Black & Mild, out of his mouth. Flicking the butt out into the yard, he turned around and smiled at the two. "I see you two are still as close as the day of the wedding. Sorry again that I missed it. You know PMC's are very demanding." Jacob and Savannah laughed, and she spoke up first. "Actually, we owe you for that, 'cause if you hadn't gone, Jake would have." Ben nodded with a triumphant smile, and proceeded down the stairs. Jacob followed right after him and Savannah came out a few minutes later with her weapon. In an instant, the god-mind grabbed Ben by his neck and threw him into the wall. Next her grabbed and did the same to Savannah. "You are one of us!" His voice was booming with it's medley of a hundred or so voices. So much anger welled up into Jacob's eyes that he slammed his fist into the god-mind face and sent it flying backwards. He threw his weapon onto the ground and started to walk towards it. "Rule one: Never hit my wife!" The god-mind rose back and raised it's hand to point at him. "You fool! She could never bring you as much power as we can!" Jacob slammed his fist into the god-minds arm, but it successfully blocked. "I don't want power!" The god-mind threw him back and slammed him against the wall with the others. Ben and Savannah stood and opened fire on it, which forced it to fall back. Moments later, infected started to flood out of the woods in the hundreds. Ben grabbed his S-System and Jake's as well. "You two get out of here, and I will hold these guys off!" Jake shook his head, but it was too late, Savannah was already pulling him towards the chopper. The last he saw of Ben was him standing there firing both weapons at the oncoming infected.
After a while, Jacob reluctantly hit his comm. "Does anyone read me?... anyone at all? We're running low on fuel, and we need a place to set down.." Jacob leaned back in the chair, the only comfort he had was holding Savannah's hand. She knew that there was nothing she could say, so she just concentrated on flying. "That idiot.. that stupid son of a *****.. he should have just come with us when he had a chance.."
Just going to do a little time skip. Make sure everyone knows...
Night had fallen on the eerie graveyard that was the chopper base. Everything was quiet and somehow peaceful, as the stars twinkled up above, amassed by complete darkness provided by the Earth's rotation.
Loran stood outside the radio tower, in actuallity it was a control tower but not any longer. His breath left his mouth in clouds of evaporating moisture that disappeared into the darkness. He shivered. It was almost winter. When Carlos came up behind him Rek seemed startled but recovered quickly.
"Hey Carlos." He greeted, turning back to the vista of beauty. "It's none of your business who he is, what he is, or why he is here. Besides, I wish you would stop using your Race Lord powers, its like lightening up beakon and dawn the infected to us like flys to a zapper lamp. Every time we do so endangers them," he pointed to the balconey's doorway, "especially if we become unstable, turning on them. Did you know I nearly killed Kat, back at the motel two days ago (in the previous game), I almost lost my humanity. In fact, I could be leading these people to their deaths, how do they know I'm not entirely human. How do they know I'm not already part of the plan of the infected, their call, song." Rek turned to regard Caros, sighing.

Sam, finished with his watch, after lettin Rek take over, took the spot beside Katerina. He grinned at her. "Wow, I can still see smoke... your that hot. Its been seven years since the fateful meeting of us at the hospitol, thou art thy prettiest in thy land." He tried to mimmic Shakespearian language, badly. He smiled thinking he was being impressive.
"Cool your heels seargent." Frank walked over and dragged Sam up. "C'mon Othello, we got equipment to sought. Sorry Kat." Frank began dragging him away, but he managed to ape a bow.
"Thank-yoooooou-" He tripped and tumbled over Frank, causing both of them to fall.
Daran started clapping. "Bravo!" He laughed then turned back to the radio. "Say again? I'm sorry Jacob, I can't read you. Our location is..."

To Jacob.
"-ion..[fzzt]..4..[fzzt]..fifteen d..[fzzt]..rees..[fzzt]..you read me? Repeat, our locatio...[fzzt]...abandoned chopper compound in..[cuts out]."

Darar banged the field radio, and cursed. "I had Jacob but I lost his f*cking transmission."
The Chopper's pedals were already starting to vibrate from the lack of fuel, and the two were beginning to worry. "Abandoned air base.. where could they mean?" Savannah piped up and swung the chopper to the left. "I know where it is!" By now the chopper was vibrating itself, along with the pedals. Jacob gripped the side railing, and braced himself. "This is going to be a photo finish.." Savannah manuevered the helicopter as best she could down towards a landing pad. "Hmm.. your specialty."
Kat smiled and shook her head. "He's alright. I dont mind." She laughed but quickly covered her mouth when both Frank and Sam fell. "Now come on you two. I dont want any broken bones here." She smiled and closed her eyes. "We need all the help we can get right now." Shannon rolled her eyes and sighed heavily.
Jacob pulled himself completely out of the downed chopper, and pushed himself into a sitting position. His vision was heavily blurred, and a shrill ringing was all he could hear. Looking around, he saw Savannah laying down about fifteen feet away from him. Just as he attempted to move, an infected jumped out and made a grab for her. Moving like liquid, he drew his pistol and fired into the infected four times. It flew back and ceased all movement, as Jacob forced himself up. When he reached her, he grabbed her neck plating and drug her back into the chopper. Reaching for an M16, he positioned himself in front of her, and in the only open door. More infected started to follow up behind the other one, and he took shots as best as he could.
