Last Horror/Thriller Film Watched?

Started by MildPossession31 pages

Vampire's Kiss - I found it so boring I kept falling asleep.

Watched 'Darkness' with Anna Paquin, and actually I loved the movie. It is a Spanish movie (as in director and the crew were Spanish) but the movie is in English.

I liked it - it didn't have all the clichés that horror movies usually have especially with haunted houses, families and such.

Enjoyed this one a lot.

Darkness is from the director of [REC]. I didn't know that at the time I saw it, well since [REC] wasn't out lol...

Really? I had no idea. Actually I didn't really look either, but I decided to see it based on synopsis. That and the fact that it was Spanish 😛

The Devils Tomb....is the last movie I watched...I also watched angels and demons...

Watched a Korean film last night called Arang.

Watched the original Nightmare on elm street last night. It was good, acting went a bit up and down in quality, some actors were great and others were pretty awful. I wish we had gotten to see more the actual freddy, before he was killed.

Have you seen the others in the series KrisBlaze?

Watching Return of the Living Dead II tonight.

I've seen all except 5 and freddy's dead.

1 and 3 are probably my favourites, if not 1 and the final nightmare or w/e it's called.

Freddy's Dead is the Final Nightmare one, do you mean Wes Craven's New Nightmare?

Watched two last night:

Madhouse(2003) - Dull dull dull. Set in a psychiatric hospital and could have been made so creepy, but failed. Knew what was going to happen from the start. Oh and a lovely positive show of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder added in...

My Name Is Bruce(2007) - Quite disappointing and glad I didn't actually buy this. Hopefully the sequel will be better. It felt like I was watching a cheap made for television film. Sorry Bruce Campbell. I do like how this was all filmed on his home property/land though, I think it was?

yeah, that's the one I meant.

Wes Craven's New Nightmare is fantastic, one of my favourites in the series. You have seen the important ones at least in the series. 🙂

My Name is Bruce is great, its pure camp and is going to be a cult favorite.

Watched Re-Animator and I Know How Many Runs You Scored Last Summer.

And been reading The Strain by Del Toro.

I loved My Name is Bruce, it was extraordinarily fun.

Friday the 13th (2009) at home. 👇

And been reading The Strain by Del Toro.

I'm currently reading that at the moment, not just Del Toro's, he is a co author, Chuck Hogan is the other one. I look forwards to the second book called The Fall.

DBC - What did you think of The Strain? I finished it a few days ago.

Watched two yesterday - 'They Wait' and 'The Gathering'.

Both crappy in their own little way.
'They Wait' had some 'i-can't-believe-that-just-happened' moments, but overall I didn't like it that much. It was mediocre - not horrible, but certainly not great.

'The Gathering' - well, I just don't know what to say about that. The idea was so good, and could have made such a good movie, but I felt like there were two stories going on at the same time -

Spoiler:
the man who was abused by priest, and those who watch bad things happen to everyone

It's like two movies merged together and came up with mish-mash of crap. The first church idea would have been great if the story had been developed better, and with more imagination.

But no, instead it was crap.

I've been waiting to see The Gathering for years, still no release here in Britain! Christina Ricci is in it right?
