Last Horror/Thriller Film Watched?

Started by Blinky31 pages

I watched some indie-thiller movie called Spiral. I must say I was pleasantly surprised, it started out slow... but it was all worth it in the end. Not a masterpiece, but I'd recommmend it to anybody who gives a shit about my opinion.

Triangle. I liked the movie - especially references to Greek mythology.

Pontypool was my viewing last night.

Just watched The Wolfman. It was extremely crap.

Horsemen - Rather disappointing and predictable.

With Quaid?

I kinda liked it.

Yes. I wasn't expecting much as soon as I saw Michael Bay's production company in the starting credits... I was looking forwards to the film when I put the disc in, until I saw Platinum Dunes come up.

Didnt see those last bits...

I just watched George Romero's original 1973 version of "The Crazies", in honor of the new remake coming out this Friday. The original is awesome; it's a shame more people don't know about it! Romero was doing the "infected zombie" thing waaaaaay before movies like "28 Days Later"! I highly recommend picking it up on DVD. (Or you can win it - apparently several websites got packs of George Romero DVDs to promote the new movie, including the original; here's the one I saw on Twitter:

Either way - go and see the original film; it's a classic!)

They were not zombies in 28 Days Later. 😛

Technically, neither "28 Days Later" OR "The Crazies" has zombies in them, if you're going by the old-school definition of zombie=undead. Both movies are actually just humans infected by a virus. But, the term "zombie" has sort of become a catch-all in more recent years for anyone that is mindlessly driven to kill, be it from voodoo, virus, satanic curses or just all-around hunger for the delectable taste of brains. 😛

Whether it's virus zombies or graveyard zombies, I'll take 'em all - can't wait to see the new zombie/not-a-zombie movie remake of "Crazies" this weekend!

Needful Things - Pretty silly and entertaining.

Rec 2....good stuff!

Cirque du Freak: Vampire's Assistant - something like that anyway. Could have been rather good but it's nothing special, and some of the editing/effects were not my cup of tea.

The Crazies

Very good but the plot needs some work.

The Devil's Backbone.

28 Days Later

Saw 6, looks forwards to the next thousand.
