Like, you get all those end of the world doomsayers, but what do they do when nothing happens?

they usually say they were not working from the gregorian calendar like every other person on the planet but from some hither-to unknown calendar that only they know about and so it wont happen until exactly a minute after you die.

haha...good point...also...if they are going to be in the southern of our hemispheres...and it's all a NASA blue beam hoax...why would they do it somewhere where only 10-12% of the worlds resides?

Normally the leaders of such cults or idea should resign, or disband stop bringing out crap etc.

But they only have to dream some rubbish up to explain it and the most disturbing thing is their followers remain.

Look at the Jehovahs Witness´s for example, they predicted the end of the world a couple of times, when it didn´t happen they just changed the date. And they have loads of members.

oh well...i'm sure the next alien visitation or doomsday prophecy will be true...Roll on 2012...the only thing that bothers me about it is that the UK will have spent alot of money on the olympics only to have the world end....sheesh...who'd've thunk it?

There´s been so many "dates" for the end of the world, alien visitation and all that, are people maybe hoping so hard that these things will happen that they without knowing, dream some crap up?

As for the 2012 Mayan calender thing, I´m not sure I want to trust people who used to rip peoples hearts out as sacrifice for the sun god. Mind you their math system was cool, you can see this on youtube.
