I can all but guarantee that his powers were attributed to the absorption and storing of energy from a yellow sun. I can research to make sure if you insist, but if/when I track down a scan saying so I'll expect you to actually concede the point on the matter because of the work involved.

It sounds like you're talking about current Supes again. If so, what does Supes say to Triumph in this scan...

Post Crises Supes has broke out of GL constructs rather effortlessly, however when is the last time SS has someone of Supes physical strength attacking his forcfields at the speed Supes can attack.

1) FP Gladiator

1- Gladiator really has no chance here.

2- Same with Sentry, PC Superman has too much raw power.

3- Silver Surfer loses as well. He has the potential to win, but he won't have a chance. PC Superman is a good deal faster than him, and since Thanos was able to beat Surfer to death rather quickly, and PC Supes is not only much stronger than him, but a lot faster..he shouldn't have trouble taking Surfer down. Surfer won't have time to create forcefields or use red sun radiaiton, etc. he simply isn't fast enough in this case.

4-While this version of Thor was powerful, PC supes just has ungodly speed.

5- Thanos wins, Supes has no way to really harm him.

As for thor this is how it would go, as per the forum rules superman would know that thor is a "god of thunder" and so

As for superman commenting that satannis' full power blast would've scattered his atoms, he was amped by merlin's runestones. His wife destroyed a planet with the same runestones just to prove a point.

As for that red sun weakness here is superman and flash(protected by a device like gl power ring) passing through a red sun

Superman surviving a planet's destruction under a red sun AND lex's red sunlight attacks

But why go to all that trouble
