I heard there's going to be some games that are DSi-only that won't work on the regular DS or DS Lite (obviously to get more people to buy the DSi). God, I hope that's not true.
None of this is rumour about the games, it is all announced fact. There will be DSi enhanced games, which work on both systems but use extra features to have more on ther DSi (probably looking at the SD card slot there), and there will also be DSi only games, likely making use of the cam and/or extra memory.
I picked it up at midnight, and was playing with the camera for hours with all the different things. Sure it's not the best quality camera but for some reason I was expecting it to be much worse. To bad the free 1000 points for the DSi ware wasn't that useful. I decided to get Warioware snapped but didn't like that. But I do like the Aquia game. Also like the texture of it compared to the DS/lite.
And in my experience the webbrowser for the DSi is much faster than the PSP version. But maybe that's just my psp being slow.

Got mine, setting it up now and playing around, it's awesome 😄Edit: Downloaded the webbrowser, but I didn't see anything else in the DSiware that I particularly wanted. I think I'll save those 1000 points and buy something later when they have more stuff available.
I worked the Midnight launch, so I picked mine up about 12:20 am. Love the system, but I can't wait for a beter selection from the DSi shop.

But yea the selection needs to be better. Though I like the Tetris-like game.
By coincidence I just ran across this http://blogs.howtogeek.com/mysticgeek/2009/04/06/easily-change-audio-file-formats-with-xrecode/
it's a free file converter and might be of help in getting the right files for your portable system quickly.
DSi ware is thin so far but then it is new; the Wii started with bugger all in the Wii shop but over time it awesomed up.
As for mp3- rememebr, the Wii photo channel supported mp3 at first but then later changed to AAC and made mp3 unavailable. Conclusion: Nintendo are too tight-fisted to shell out to do the mp3 thing. They can be asses like that sometimes.
