seven hours of gameplay if you are new to video games. I beat the game in five. This game is definitely not a buy but it is a must play, none the less. There is no replay value, the story is balls and it does get repetitive but at it's best it offers a stunning and almost original experience. The game controls very smooth which makes it very easy to pull off the actions that is required. The jump button can be a bit unresponsive at times but this is compensated for by giving you convenient check points. If you like chase sequences in games you will love Mirrors Edge. No other game makes you feel the thrill of being chased like Mirrors Edge does. there is never really a sense of threat in the game because your character can make super human jumps and has an ability to slow time for when you are confronted with enemies. So, i would highly recommend that everyone give this a try. Download the demo first. There is no reason to buy Mirrors edge though because once you finish the game you will have had your fill of the gameplay but you will leave feeling satisfied not over saturated.
Again, there isn't much to this game but ive seen this type of gameplay before. It is Prince of Persia in First person perspective and it works very well. I am sure that we will see many more games like this in the future.

I found the slow time thing a bit useless seeing as I still get shot and hit by bullets.
I don't think the feature is there so that you can dodge bullets. At least, if you are using the slow time feature to try and dodge bullets, i've found that it is useless Jumping sliding or wall running allowed me to dodge really well. I only used the slow time feature for disarms or to calculate and observe a jump after i was already committed to the jump and for that, it worked well. I rarely used the feature though and it wouldn't have made things any harder or easier if it weren't there but it was nice to know that it was there.
this game is fuvking aces when you play it to some kickin rock or techno. after a few missions i gave up on the story and just started playing some music to the gameplay and damn, it feels like this game was made for custom audio. So far, the distillers; beat your heart out, is the jam i play most while playing this game.
I don't know what to think about this game the demo was amazing and the first few levels were fun, but the more I play the game I begin to tire of it. The combat has begun to annoy me as well at first it was fun mostly running from guys and only having to take out a few of them and now it seems like I have to take on 5 heavily armored cops at once. So I don't think I'll own this game for much longer probably trade it in after I complete the game if I don't get fed up with it, it's a shame though this game had so much potential.

I don't know if should buy it. I mean people say its short, but I am one of those that if I really like something I won't mind replaying it a couple of times . And this game looks so fun ><
I wouldn't buy it, dude. It is easily one of the best games i've played in a long time but, recently, so many great games have been released you will find a better game for your money somewhere else. After 5-8 hours of game play the only thing left to do in Mirrors Edge is to try and get a record play time in each stage but you can probably do all of this in the span of your rental time. Definitely , play through it though and don't let the crappy story detour you from finishing it because some of the later stages are aces.
heres a cool video i found that kinda has to do with this game 😄
