All hail DOOM!

Doom Roxx

Great thread.

Just asking. I am new to this site. Is it true that Beyonder willingly gave his power to Doom? I read the actual comic, but I am not too sure...

No, I'm pretty sure that's fanon made up by Beyonder apologists

Cool thread ODG. 👆

The entire event was surrounded by stipulations in Doom's favor.

Beyonder warped the concept of Death on Battleworld,
only disintegration could kill you.

Beyonder put his guard down,
and was actually helping Doom when Doom pulled the PIS move.

And even then, it was all PIS that surpasses that of FL/SP.

Here we have the Supreme being
of a Multiverse trillions of times bigger than the infinite Marvelverse,
this Supreme being
is Millions of times more powerful than all of Marvel combined (including the Living Tribunal)

But Galactus' tech, LOL, with Doom's improvisation can get over on him? forgetu

Yea I know, gotta make it interesting to sell more comics,
but thankfully, that was Shooter's only forced PIS in Secret Wars I.
(there are other details as well ... but this isn't the thread for that)

According to Owen in the retcon, one can easily come to the conclusion,
that Doom was actually allowed to take Beyonder's power,
by Beyonder's own un-conscious will, according to MM:

"you still don't understand desire, if you had understood,
there would have been no Secret Wars.
As a tiny portion of the Beyonders' force,
you un-consciously wanted to satisfy others' desires
"

This is decidely exactly the type of stuff that I don't want in this thread. I'm going to ask that you keep this kind of discussion outside. We already have two threads debating this specific subject:

http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=11051011&highlight=beyonder+userid%3A77143#post11051011
http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=11088500&highlight=userid%3A77143#post11088500

You know and I know, that we both disagree sharply on this, as anybody who looks at these threads can tell. So I'd appreciate it if you not post this kind of discussion in a respect thread. I won't even post my rebuttal of what you just posted. Leave it elsewhere. Thanks in advance.

Bump.

Dr.Doom is the greatest villian in comics, and in general up their with the greats.

should merge the other thread into this one.

Good stuff, respect!

was going to post links to 369 here but can't yet oh well

someone will soon, well played tying up that bad story with a great ending Millar

Is this were he was retconned to be a cosmic cube? if so dooms feat of stealing his power was a mere cosmic cube?

A few revelations were just revealed..

-We learn that Doom is/was the Marquis of Death's apprentice.

-We also learn that, despite him being torn apart (literally) at the dawn of time, Doom's sheer hatred somehow kept him alive.

-He studied the black arts for millions of years; transforming his body molecule by molecule, until no traces of his former self remained.

-It is revealed that he apparently became powerful enough to kill a Watcher.

-He may have been powerful enough to kill Clyde Wincham.

What this means for future issues involving Doom is beyond me..

They will ackolwedge it for the next 5 issues then completly ignore it or have some way that he became back to normal power levels

LOL all that for a friggen upgrade LOL

That will either be ignored by the next writer or removed

because we all know they will never allow Doom to finally beat everyone and take over earth

Been away a few months. Here are some fights that Dr. Doom has had since the last time the thread's been updated. The Morgana Le Fay fight might not seem appropriate for a Respect Thread, but I think its a good showcase of Dr. Doom being ambushed by a high-level sorcerer and how Dr. Doom does when he ambushes a high-level sorcerer. Consider also that Morgana gets in the first volley both times:

Dr. Doom vs Morgana Le Fey, from Dark Avengers #3-4:

Here's another recent fight. And wow. Brutal one-shot. Also showcasing Dr. Doom's H2H reflexes at the end.

Dr. Doom(w/ bot) vs Black Panther and the Dora Milaje, from Black Panther vol.5 #1-2:

And his most recent fight against the new Sorcerer Supreme. One of the few times I've seen Dr. Doom combine his talents of technology and magic in a fight. And even though it was a prepped ambush, quite impressive considering Doctor Voodoo bested Dormammu in his own realm earlier in the issue.

Dr. Doom vs Doctor Voodoo, from Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural #1:
