The Completely Revamped Wonder Woman Respect Thread!!!

One thing I would like to address, it was stated that Wonder Woman has greater combat speed than Clark. How is that physically possible?

I mean, I would have understood, if he was Gladiator and he simply used his speed to travel from point A to point B, and didn't show Super Speed etc. in his reflexes but that isn't the case here. Clark has shown numerous times, combat speed that should be beyond Diana (Vibrating to the point he is basically intangible, able to match the Flash in speed combat, vibrating to the point he is invisible etc.).

Of course if what you meant was that she has superior combat speed on a mental plane, I completely agree. She is a warrior born with much more experience than Clark. She has honed her fighting skills to the point where she reacts on instinct, unlike Clark who has to process, the environment and take the time to make a decision.

In those terms I completely understand and agree, she does have superior combat speed etc. based on that, but when it comes to the physical plane, is he not physically superior to her, in strength, durability and most importantly speed. He has shown that he has Flash level combat speed.

People do have different opinions and those are simply mine. J

Forgive me, fan girl if I'm "Spamming" but I am simply trying to understand what people mean when they say that Diana has superior combat to Clark. Hey I might be wrong, so who knows, but I have a great deal of comics, so I would like to know what I've missed.

I am enjoying your respect thread greatly, and it's far from my intention to ruin it in any shape or form. I am appreciate all the hard work you are doing and I am positive so does everyone else, but I addressed a very reasonable point of discussion.

I do not want Wonder Woman to be underestimated just as I do not want her to be overestimated either. That is all.

Their difference in physical speed, is simply to vast, for something such as Muscle memory to overcome. True she is faster than most but she is not faster than Superman on any physical level. Superman has moved at speeds thousands of faster than light.

Again, Diana is still one of the fastest on Earth,a nd has tremendous reflexes. Greater than most. Nothing wrong with being slower than Superman, when your faster than more than 98% of the meta humans on the planet by a wide margin.

Ok, she went far faster than light when (Superman is still significantly beyond that but I'll play along.)? Seriously wondering. I have read a lot of Wonder Woman comics (Probably every issue published of every volume at my old house) but I have never seen this happen before but of course I am not that attentive when reading her comics unfortunately. Find them boring as of late.

I have been looking, but I haven't seen anything "far faster than light speed" at all. There is a possibility that I missed some scans, but as the thread maker, do you not know any scans of the top of your mind?

I haven't seen her go faster than light and I have almost all of her comics.

Right scan please or better yet issue number so I can read it myself. Context is very important, and that's the problem with scans and statements etc. Scans can be edited to cut of part's of the image, and they can be misleading......

She has no connection with the Speed Force at all. She gets her speed from Hermes.

I have never, ever read this, heard of this, in any way.

I remember an issue where she tugged on Jesse Quick with the Lasso, but she did not enter the Speed Force to my recollection. She simply used the lasso to stop her if I remember (Do you recall the issue number?).

The shattered God? That was impressive but not light speed fast.

If those were the events you were referring to, those weren't way beyond light speed feats. Impressive but not even light speed fast from what I remember.

What purpose would I have? This is one of the best organized, and biggest threads I have ever seen. I personally love Wonder Woman as a character.

I have nothing to gain, through ruining your thread. We are simply having a civil discussion. Sorry, if I upset you in some way, but I assure you, I have no dastardly plot to destroy this thread.

It's been a while, but I do not recall Wonder Woman ever entering the Speed Force in that issue because of her physical speed. Either way it makes no sense, she isn't even connected to the Speed Force.

You need to more open minded either way. I was simply commenting on some statements made. I do not want them to be misinterperted incorrectly, as scans lack context, and that happens a lot.
