Official timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe according to the "Art of the Avengers" book.

haha! I just had a thought.....Imagine someone read this timeline bought all the movie and tried to watch each even in order.....

I mean since each event happens at different points across all movies this would be insanely hard lol

if you have no life you could edit the movies together.

I actually hope it does happen 'cause it'll guarantee more movies, i just don't see it happening.

Lol you don't think that's already guaranteed?!

for the characters/franchises already established in the MCU, sure, but i was referring more to other characters. The better this movie does means there's a greater chance we could get live action features for the likes of Luke Cage/Iron Fist, Black Panther, etc.

Thanos!

or we can hope for a decent x-men movie wherein cyclops isnt a pussy, colossus is awesome and wolverine is short and ugly.

lol well I don't have that much of a life but it's more then enough to not do this! though I think it would be interesting to see done.

Has Avengers Takings slowed down?

Not heard about it earning much since it passed the Billion mark.

nope, not really; movies don't typoically make a whole lot of money on weekdays, but Avengers still took in $7.8m on Monday and $8.4m on Tuesday... that is phenomenal. It'll probably make another $60m this weekend.

lol

Hahaha! That article is almost as funny as the movie line.

CBR! Go give WB some advice on making good superhero movies instead of looking for faults in Blockbuster Marvel movies!

it's ridiculous.

Just saw the movie.

I thought it flowed well and was fun. 9/10

My favorite scene was the nuke bit and when banner turns to hulk saying he is always angry and punches the giant serpent ship.

As far as the fight between Thor and hulk goes...

I am going to call it how I saw it, no bias. And please call me out on it if you see it.

Firstly marvel seriously upped Hulk’s power.

Durability wise (he became high calibre level bullet proof, and explosive projectile proof at the least) and strength wise class 50 imo.

Hulk landed a glancing blow on widow. Was he going to kill her before Thor intervened probably not, he had some control ,that’s why he didn’t crush the pilot when he grabbed him, that is why he diverted his fall.

When his fist pounded Thor, Thor caught it and resisted it, unable to match hulk’s crushing force he tried to resist with two hands and still being forced down. Hulk seemed a significant amount stronger (If hulk was a 50 tonner I would put Thor as a 30-35 tonner and IM as 15-20 tonner and CA 1-2 tonner).

From what I saw Thor’s punches were significant enough to stagger/even stun/phase the hulk but not enough to seriously hurt him.
As logic would dictate using Mjolnr as a combat/melee weapon was far more effective. Hulk definitely looked rocked after the head strike but not enough to be put down mind you.

Was Thor holding back? Strength wise ‘hell no’!
As he said I don’t want to hurt you banner he was in a ‘mercy’ kind of grappling match. No one in a mercy kind of match would be using say only 50% of his full strength.

Was it a proper mercy match? no , to be fair the cirmustances of the strength test between the two in this scene was awkward for both parties. Neither’s hands were gripped in a true mercy fashion.

Was Thor holding back? Power wise ,sure , he didn’t do any energy strikes so yes.
The superconductor building amping thor?
NO,it was just a high strategic point, used for military advantage simple as.

Thor took down 2 of those big serpent ships whereas hulk, as badass as his single punch was took down only one, did IM help defeat that same one with that missile he fired at it after hulk brough it down, no imo as hulk had it beat with that punch I think that missile just added icing to the cake and stopped it from flattening the others.

Thor in this movie is significantly more powerful. And pretty durable. Was it implied that he would not survive that fall (30000 ft was it not), they should have shown him survive that and be bullet proof at least.

Hulk seemed stronger and more durable (it seemed his durability wasn’t taxed to the point of him requiring his HF).Sure he was bleeding at one point but that was after dozens of the chitari had pinned him down with a nonstop barrage of missiles .Even then he seemed fine.

Does this hulk get stronger as he gets madder, I didn’t hear this referenced in the movie.

All in all hulk seemed substantially stronger, and Thor substantially more powerful.

But we all knew that. They fall into the needed roles for the team, strength guy and power guy respectively.

It was a fine movie with good funny moments. Too bad about Coulson.

IMO I just prefer to think of hulk and thor as at least handbook levels of strength in the movie(class 100). Just because they didn't have the feats in the movie doesn't mean they arent at that level. Specifiaclly hulk. He never went all out in the movie. All his scenes suggest he was just chilling out smashing stuff without showing any upper limit. Neither of them really showed an upper limit so i'm waiting on upcoming movies where we can hopefully get more beastly displays of power.

well The Avengers have moved to #4 after another #1 weekend spot.

http://boxofficemojo.com/alltime/world/

It will comfortably beat Harry Potter and become no.3 biggest movie of all time.

But doesn't look like it's going to come close to Titanic or Avatar.

indeed it has! It has surpassed harry potter and is now the #3 all time box office!

And the Dark Knight for #3 all time domestic.

The Dark Knight has 533.3 Mil and The Avengers has 538.1 Mil domestic
