I was actually pissed that my fellow members spent so much money on this. You'd think that having a living prophet in my church would help the Prophet forsee that fighting this "change" would be futile....so, instead, he would encourage members to do something that would funnel that money into building the church up to save souls, right?

Last I heard, 75 million was spent in fighting for and against this Prop. If we say it was a 50/50 split, the 37.5 million the haters (yes, they indeed are) spent could have gone into something like you stated or even something more useful, eg a youth center in a high crime/poverty area.

But hey, Jesus is tolerant enough, so the rest of 'us' don't have to be.

Financially it kinda reminded me of the Mitt Romney campaign.

As for the issue itself....I'm against even putting it up for a vote. I'm all for the Supreme Court controlling civil rights.
