Its not contradicting anything, the thing that you have to think about is that if youre going by space flight alone then almost every mid to high herald character can go light speed. Hell that even mean that rogue from the xmen can go at least 99% the speed of light.
just one, big thing i need to point out.
the 2000 mph thing was mostly taken from that flash issue, right? this is the issue where wally is looking for linda, racing around the world trying to save his marriage, right?
now, we all know flashes, especially wally, can stroll around at lightspeed, its part of his powerset. in this issue, he's looking for his wife, someone he fears he might be losing.
now, wally is a decent guy, he's a good man, and he's head over heels in love. carver, have you ever felt like that about someone? have you ever felt like you were losing that person?
i know what that feels like, just like anyone who's ever been in love (even you, if applicable) knows how it feels.
if i'm wally west, and i can't find my wife? i'm running as fast as my feet can carry me, and 2000mph is nothing to wally west.
are you saying wally's top speed is 2000mph?
cos to say that clark is only going 2000mph, when wally certainly wouldnt be, and clark IS keeping up with him... well, thats just ridiculous, isn't it?
and i really, really don't believe for one second that johns wrote that, but anywho...
also, flying at lightspeed in space, regardless of how many people do it, its still lightspeed. look at star trek. even the smallest shuttles can break lightspeed, but its still lightspeed. trying to discredit it is just silly imo...
edit: everywhere i say miles per hour, i mean miles per second...
