How do you mean? That we will lead (for the lack of a better analogy) a Matrix style existence? (minus the evil machines, neo, and kung-fu that is) If that is what you mean, then I personally believe that, although it is becoming increasingly easy to interact with people all over the word via the web, and that more and more cervices are being offered via it as well, that largely we will continue to live our lives in the real world. We still need to eat, sleep, drink and do all the things our body needs to sustain its self. The internet and OL (online life) may offer the opportunity to meet other people, perhaps even find a partner, but people still need physical contact. I'm sorry I'm a little tired at the moment so this isn't coming out quite as intricate as I had wanted, but I am hoping I am getting my point across 😛. Yes we will become more reliant on telecommunications and the world wide web, yes this offers new, and in a lot of cases improved ways of doing certain things, but I don not believe that we will delve entirely in to a non-real world existence, even in the long run.

I can see your point though, don't get me wrong. I just dont know to what extent I share the same opinion. Time will tell I guess.

Well, I don't believe that "real life" will become totally unimportant. I just think that "online life" and online personas will become way more important. Either way, there will always be physical needs, but how they are dealt with, will likely change. The "online life" offers people an escape, an ability to lead much better lives for little money...and as long as it makes people happy it will go on to improve.

I don't know whether it is better in many cases. I think it emulates real life in the sense that people can still be miserable on line for a number of reasons. One being cyber-bullying. The more people start to live on line, the more on line life will begin to mimic real life. Which brings me to question, what is the point? I dunno man, I guess I just cant get my head around living life on line beying socializing with people on forums, etc. Marrying and family life and all that for me personally is still entirely a real life experience.

Not sure why that needs to be the case.

Haha, fatties.

I don't think that either meeting, falling in love, marrying or divorcing someone on a virtual platform is particularly lame. The Internet gives you access to so much more people that it is very likely you will find someone better suited for you than IRL. The only thing I could think is lame is that they seem like a bit of idiotic, white trash...trash...but I don't think that the platform their douchiness (mostly the husbands) takes place on is of matter.

Exactly what I thought you'd say.
I do agree though.

I lol'd at the story. I hit on girls in WoW but not for serious. Half the time it's probably a dude anyway. Like when I'm on my female avatar and mess with them...

😈

Oh, that's quite funny! You never know who you are talking to on the internet. The initial story is crazy, but will probably come to fruition more frequently with the amount of time people spend living their lives in the fantasy world. In my opinion, it's a shame.
