That's been retconned. A while ago.

Anywho, did you guys actually read Ghost Rider? One of the Ghost Riders straight up tells Johnny Blaze that the "higher powers" look like whatever you'd expect. Because Ketch and Blaze are Christians, it's monotheistic god and angels and demons. Apparently, those powers don't even exist if you're an atheist.... and it's loas for people who practice vodoun, and Allah for Muslims, and so on and so forth.

If you didn't understand that, then you didn't read Ghost Rider.

Were was that reconnt? I find that hard to believe since many events in the run have been mention later on. Hell it was the first time we found out just how unkillable iceman is.

You got any prove?

Well there you go that means that they are not really Christian beings. Thats still a pantheistic universe...kinda.

It's actually more akin to Budhist philosophy. Or rather Panentheism that sees God as a nondescript force that is present within creation itself.

Actually I think theres something in the Bible that says that, but its not a typical Christian viewpoint.

Well the typical Christian viewpoint, from Biblical scripture, is that God is the creator, separate from creation and then entered into creation, via his son, Jesus of Nazareth. The creator became part of the creation by becoming flesh and blood.

Where it differs from the Ghost Rider series is that the Ghost riders series suggests that the powers that be would change to accommodate Christian, Muslim or whomever of their religious disposition, where obviously, in the Christian account, Heaven, Hell, Angels, Demons, etc etc is the same for everyone.

Apologies for going off topic, but I thought this might help clear things up a tad 😄

Yup, nothing really happens.

Soon what interesting. But yeah, a second release is in order. The second back should be about Moonstone showing off more skin and shagging more of Osborn's team.

No doubt. It was a let down and didn't really tell or show me anything I didn't already know or viewed as quite interesting.

did DA#14 match any of it's description?

"SIEGE BLOCKBUSTER TIE-IN!! The secrets of the Sentry are revealed but is it too late? Is this a hero reborn or a eulogy? The most pivotal moment in this controversial character’s life yet is here, and how it affects the siege on Asgard will leave you breathless."

http://marvel.com/catalog/?id=13990

two issues now under the siege banner, absolutely nothing siege-related [except a very vague, veiled reference by osborn.] you'd think the guy writing the main title could have timed his tie-in book a little better, or that marvel wouldn't completely bullshit us in relating these last two issues to the siege of asgard.

yeah, i get it.

Spoiler:
"oh, but the sentry is actually just the void playing nice now. that explains why sentry killed ares."
still didn't need to read those last two issues, especially considering where they came in relative to the siege main title.

argh.

still no explenation about Sentry's power origin...good job Marvel

he was trippin' balls, and BAM. sentry.

I've found that really interesting as well. It's the first time that I've heard, straight up, that there is a Judeo-Christian Heaven.

Then again, if you remember, the one Loa-Ghost Rider tells Blaze that your perceptions of Heaven basically create it for you. For him, or a character like, say, Doctor Vodoo it would be a vodoun Heaven. For Blaze and Ketch, as Christians, it's a Christian Heaven and God.

Which explains rather neatly, actually, why Reed and the rest of the Four found Jack Kirby in Heaven. You can apply it to all sorts of things! The White Room is mutant Heaven. Valhalla is Asgardian Heaven!

I like it ... except it causes a **** load of problems ... Are Pluto, and Hela Different conceptions of Mephitso? Is Odin and different form of God, etc ?

I think some one needs to do a Marvel theological /meta physical, expansion of this concept ? Where's Niel Gaiman when u need him ?

None of it.

Taken out of the context of Siege, it wasn't a bad issue; after reading that description, though, it's hard not to feel let down.

To be fair, however, Siege isn't exactly the kind of event that warrants tie-ins, as it's really just one huge battle (from what I can tell). Marvel shouldn't be misleading--or flat-out lying--to their fanbase like this, though.

I expect nothing different; I know they've got to sell their comics and make money like any other business. It gets out of hand when literally none of the synopsis is addressed, though. Where do they draw the line?

I forgot that we live in a Disney Land reality where every corporate organization cares about the little people, and capitalism is a distant myth from Mordor. 🙄
