Hmmm a band can still be good but over-rated at the same time.. My definition of "Over-rated" is when they receive more acclaim that the music itself deserves.

1. The Beatles - At the time they weren't really over-rated cause they changed everything but now when you see thirteen year old girls with beatles purses over their shoulder.. It's a bit ridiculous. Yea their music is timeless and their later stuff is more advanced then alot of stuff today.. still way over-rated.

2. Tool - Yea I get their music but the fact that if I say I don't like it Tool fans say "It's cause you don't understand it." I bought Aenema when I was a kid, liked learn to swim, good song but beyond I feel like they're still just chasing their old stuff in terms of quality.

3. Joy Division - One of my favorite bands but when you see people with the shirt with the lines shirt an say "I love Joy Division" and all you recieve is a blank look.. yeah.

4. Any Popular Butt Rock/80's Hair Metal - This one should explain itself. Just not my cup of tea AT ALL so maybe that's why I believe the way I do.

5. Radiohead - Yea, They had a huge impact on music but there's only so much revolutionizing you can do.. Personal favorites The Bends, Pablo Honey, Ok Computer, Hail to the Thief..(severely dislike In Rainbows). I feel they were at their best when they did The Bends cause the music was more "real" and usually is in the earlier stages of a band. It's not like I don't like Kid-A it's just that I feel that the they were too good to stay at a Bends and Pablo Honey sound that they aced it and had to move on.. Great band but kinda losing their relevancy :/

So many others but I just though to list these and reason's because they had been previously discussed.
