Based on his history with Odin type characters. The Olympian gods, Mordu et al. Furthermore the simple fact that the New god pantheon encloses all other realities in DC.They are way more vital to the condition of the multiverse than any other pantheon. Also way more powerful in their true forms (where entire realities/universes are miniature to them) than the other gods.
Because they are so powerful the only thing that kept DS from destroying all the other gods was New Genesis once the good gods lost the war in heaven the shackles were off for DS and the other dark gods.
Granny goodness alone is in the process of destroying the guardians of the universe.
This new fc makes darkseid more powerful and I have only rea dup to issue 3 a few months back. So,I cant comment on Ds's current power level but before that he was on Superman's level.

Superman has beaten characters more powerful than Thanos. All in all DS is more powerful than Thanos and in full force is above Odin IMO.

Thanos takes on much more powerful opponents and doesnt go down in a few panels. Examples are Thor(power gem),Odin,and Tyrant.

The fact that DS has the power of 2 peak skyfather characters in addition to his onw while Thanos is at best high Trans/low skyfather. Then again u do think Thanos can take Odin so.....
Odin took on Thanos and failed to put him down and had ample time to do so.
Thanos has been upgraded since then as well.

Of course the difference is Darkseid actually takes out skyfathers like Time Trapper with his own power.
Without artifacts Thanos just isn't powerful enough to get victories over skyfathers.
And in that list the only one who's DS level is Odin. PG Thor at best can pwn SS and Strange he isn't anything above Time Trapper or Mordu both of whom are powerful Skyfathers.
