Usually when you break your spine, you almost always damage your spinal cord.. Spinal cord is made out of nervous fibres and cells and it's extension of your central nervous system. Break your spine? Might kill you instantly, you might lose the ability walk, talk, contract your muscles etc. Almost always the damage is permanent unlike your organs, your nerve cells do not heal. Ever.

Also, Silver Samurai's armor is/was pathetic - It's not bullet proof nor can he take many bullets before dropping like a sack of potatoes.

according to guggenheim, blade is a master of every single weapon known to man, meaning he is just as skilled as silver samurai, and he is a master of several martial arts.
