I just finished the first Uncharted yesterday, and I was underwhelmed. The controls felt sloppy, the platforming felt off, and the gun battles felt annoying. The characters were great, though, and despite the problems I just mentioned I had fun with the game over all.

So I put in Uncharted 2, expecting more of the same. Good lord, the sequel is amazing. The graphics are on a whole other level, the problems I had with the jumping seem to be gone, the characters and story is even better than the first. The gunplay feels better, particularly the use of grenades. I'm only on Chapter 6, but already this game is heads better than the first, and easily already one of the best games I've played this year, as far as pure fun factor goes.

I did basically the same thing.

I didn't have much trouble with the first one but the sequel is easily ten times better.

That's one of the reasons why I think it would deserve the GOTY over Modern Warfare and Left 4 Dead 2 is because its a much improved sequel while the other two are just minor upgrades.

Yeah the single player is definitely the best of the year. Just beat it. Extremely enjoyable. Does so many things very well.

Favourite sequence/chapter/event from the game anyone?

Mine would be

Spoiler:
the tank assult on the tibeten village
and of course the Train section.

I got this game (finally) for xmas this year. It is fantastic. What's everyones PSN handle?

B.B. Kang is mine. Anyone beat the game on crushing yet? I spent most of November playing this thing. I couldn't put it down. For the most part, the graphics are amazing!!!

my tag is quincyARCHER

Finally got around to playing it, my god, this was one really good game.

I'm usualy a big opponent of adapting games/books/comics to movies, but I really feel bad for my friends who love Indy/National Treasure etc since they don't get to experience this great story just because they don't play action-games. So I hope the movie that's in the works will do the game justice.
