Where did you get that he used the ALE to affect the Spectre. He used the Spear of Destiny to take control of Spectre by separating him from his host.

Vandal Savage was using Spectre to transmit the ALE to people around the world from what I understood of the comic?

I didn't mean he used the ALE to control Spectre - anyone who's read the comics would know that's not the case. I simply meant that when Savage used Spectre to broadcast the ALE across the globe, Spectre appeared to be in agonizing pain [as far the the illustrations depicted] by the simple act of reciting it. So imo, it did affect Spectre in a negative way, sortaspeak.

Current DS in a huge stomp. 7 Soldiers DS created entire realities with no problem. 5th World DS effected the multiverse just by falling from heaven.

The way I took it was that spectre didn't want to broadcast but was being forced to. So I took his look of pain, agony as him being forced to do something he didn't want to.
