"We heard about these Shepards, from some of the locals before we ahd to run here. You think they will be here?"

"Did you not see the ships as you flew in?" he asks.

"Yes, but I did not know that these Shepards were on them. What are they doing here?"

"They threatened to wipe out the factory if we did not leave," the Researcher explains. "We were encroaching upon the lives of the natives and polluting their world, and they want to support the natives in battle. But this is just too profitable! I can't just cut my losses, here."

"Which is understandable, do not worry we will take care of Shepards. How many mercenaries do have stationed here?"

The Researcher says he will get back to you on that. He has not done a headcount recently, having been busy getting back to his job.

"Ok then unless there is anything else you can tell me, I will go check on my comrades."

Oh, goodie, does this mean that Rianna can now commence threatening Xavier's life? 😛

The Researcher only warns you that you cannot leave without paying off your debt, and he will not accept money (not that he thinks you have any).

Other than that, chat amongst yourselves and think about what you may need to know for the upcoming confrontation. The Shepherds gave the Researcher a deadline of one week, and he now has two days left.

Xavier walks in and sees Rianna, "You are well, this is good."

"I'm awake, I've been told it'll be another day before I'm well," Rianna snaps, glaring at Xavier. "Just what exactly do you think you're doing?"

"What do you mean?" Xavier asks like he really doesn't care because he doesn't.

"Oh, don't play stupid. Let's start out with that little excuse you gave about what happened," Rianna says, fully irritated at him. "Not to mention that Dak informed me you thought it'd be funny to put me in his bed on the ship. Did you think I wasn't going to find out about that?"

"We were in hurry to get you medical attention so I came up with what I thought would be the best ways to do that. As you are recovering we got the results we were looking for."

Xavier hears the second part. The lizard will die

"As to us telling Dak to put you in his bed. Do you honestly believe we care about where you are stationed on our ship, or for that matter do you think us the kind of person who cares about a joke."

"...I should have known you were actually behind that one..." Rianna said, turning her glare to Dak.

"As soon as I'm well we're leaving. And you're both dead."

"I'm not quite sure it would be beneficial to us to leave just yet, or would you like missing another opportunity at beating on these 'Shepards'?"

"Hey, Xavier's the one who decided we were married. Remember, the horrible cover story? With merchants?"

"And yeah, the Shepherds... we have to find out of Kuylen is here. Oh, and Galder, too."
