"Steady..." He says to the mercenaries, lowering his weapons into a ready stance.

That will get you one zipline before the Shepherds are in position to fight back, Rianna. Want to go for that?

The Shaman begins to draw a line in the mud before his men, and is now speaking to them.

They seem to be waiting for something, Dak. You don't like this.

...can I cheat slightly and throw each saber at a different zipline? 😄

If not, that's fine, it's better than nothing at least.

Xavier will use Blur to hasten his return to the security area.

As you dash back to the security area, the power goes out, leaving you in total darkness for a moment until the emergency lighting flashes on.

The mercenaries have stopped responding entirely.

Nah, Rianna, that'd defeat the purpose of Master Saber Throw. Xavier would have excelled here...

You throw a lightsaber downwards, severing the wire. The Shepherds riding it cry out in alarm but use a clamp on their harnesses to catch onto the wire as it falls away, leaving them hanging in the fog.

The rest of the Shepherds have climbed with great agility up to the railing and are getting ready to fight...

Dak- the auto-defense turrets suddenly power down and their sensors shut off entirely. The Shaman receives a signal from a comlink... and the natives start to charge towards you, nearly two hundred strong (minus those you had slain earlier, of course!)

"Attack, attack, attack!" Dak shouts before roaring in anger. "And someone get the turrets back online!"

Is there any chance Dak can see about fixing one of the turrets himself?

Rianna shall meet the Shepherds at the railing, launching her attack before they make it over the railing itself, snapping an attack at the nearest Shepherd.

"Pick your shots and watch for the shields!" she shouts at the mercenaries.

It would remove Dak from the fight briefly. One turret alone might not be much against the coming aliens. Still want to do that?

Xavier will try and get into contact with Trax.

Yeah, no. Go ahead and fight!

Saber Throw I guess?

Xavier- no response.

You stumble through the darkness, sensing death around you. Wait, no... you sense someone yet living. Coming into the junction outside the control room, you see that Trax is slumped by a wall. A katana pierced through his forearm keeps him pinned there, and he is unconscious.

The door to the control room is open.

Dak effortlessly begins the battle with a Saber Throw, hurling one of his lightsabers into a warrior before they have even advanced. From their barricades the mercenaries start picking off targets with blasterfire.

The Epireans wait for the Magnesians to bring the attack to them.

Rianna, upon retrieving her lightsaber, glides in and batters at a Shepherd with her lightsabers. Catching her target off guard, he loses his footing and tumbles down the side of the building.

Rianna still acting ahead of the Shepherds, and the Magnesians are six frames away from Dak.

Xavier quickly pulls the katana out of Trax's arm.

WE ARE MOST UNSATISFIED

"Yes we are," he says calmly walking in igniting his two light sabers.

As you approach the security room, a figure appears in the doorway. It is a Shepherd, complete with his mask. He stands there for a moment, studying you.

"Thing of darkness," he says. "Why do you help this man Desall? His works are a pox upon Magnus Delta. Does your fractured mind prevent you from seeing the beauty in life?"

Xavier slows his pace down but is still heading forward. He will use Sense on the room trying to find out if anyone else is here.

"Desall is merely a means to an end. We would equally kill him if it helped us in our goals. As to life, if we treasured life like we should we wouldn't be standing in front of you right now about to end yours."

Rianna deftly swings her lightsabers at her opponents, snapping two attacks on the Shepherds. Defend for defense.

Dak waits for the Magnesians to come closer. Defend for defense.

Hmm. Is it possible to Saber Throw at the Shaman?
