STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Rescue

"Oh, so are you the one behind all of this? And yes, I would say they are cowards. As are you," Rianna snaps, pointing her ignited lightsaber in his direction.

"And just who exactly are you?"

"I am known as Amlann," he says, halting his steps when you point the saber in his direction. "And who the coward but the one hiding behind her weapon. Come, put it down. I wish to talk."

(Just for fun, he's portrayed by Patrick McGoohan, the British king from Braveheart...)

"I have absolutely no reason to believe that you simply want to talk," Rianna replies nastily, keeping her lightsaber drawn. Is she still unable to really sense anything?

"Relying on the Force's perception will not work, I am afraid," Amlann says. "The Dark Side may be able to cloud it, but I have trained in the Light. I can make you sense everything, show you how the Force flows through it all. Someone with power as untapped as your own will not be able to break through it."

Xavier ponders moment, his saber twitching towards Galder, as to whether or not he should rouse him like the man suggested.

Do It!!!

"Later," Xavier says to himself then he speaks to the guy, "What is ti you wish to speak about and you should make it good."

"I am performing research on the Dark Side," Amlann says, "the corruption to the Force which you adhere to."

"I was also trained in the light side of the Force..." Rianna says, annoyed with him.

"But you have not mastered it," Amlann says. "You have allowed yourself to become a vile creature, an agent of evil that only serves to throw off the balance of the Force and the Galaxy entire. Your very existence fouls the Natural Order that the universe was familiar with, prior to the first seduction of the Dark Side."

"Is that why Galder is still alive so you can treat him like a lab animal."

"And I highly doubt you've mastered it as well. You'd be hiding in the Temple if you had any truth to your claims."

"Precisely," he responds to Xavier. "He also served as excellent bait for gaining more test subjects. However, Galder has been highly resistant to the final phase of my experiments: redemption.

"And I am not associated with the Jedi Knights, if that is what you refer to," he responds to Rianna. "I walk a different path, no less righteous than that of the Jedi."

"What path is that?"

Rianna laughs at Amlann's comment on the last part of his experiment.

"Redemption for him would assume he ever followed the light side. Which, as far as I can tell, is not the case."

"Shows how well you know your comrade," Amlann says. "I gleaned from his mind that he was taught the basics of becoming a Jedi Knight when he was very young. Had he received disciplined training in the Light, he would not be such a horrible figure.

"And I am one of an order of monks from a distant world," Amlann tells you. "You will not have heard of them."

"Ask if any of us care. The light side makes one weak. I saw this through the majority of my life," Rianna replies.

"Now, really, why should we not just kill you where you stand?"

"That is simple. You cannot."

"We wouldn't bet against her in that contest."

"Oh, just watch me try..." Rianna hisses with anger, lunging at him while twirling her lightsaber in a Combination.

That was not smart of her

"No it wasn't but what else do you expect of her."

touche

Amlann falls into an unarmed fighting stance as you dash towards him. Before you can reach him, he makes a gesture with his foot. Despite not being cloes enough to even touch you, there is a gentle exertion upon your foot that causes you to fall prey to his Trip, taking 2 damage. He then follows this up by performing a pair of lightning-quick punches into the air, angled downwards. The punches connect with surprising force. Rianna takes 16 damage from his Combination.

Finally, Amlann jams a hand forward and makes a wrenching motion, pulling your lightsaber out of your hand with a powerful Combat Push just as you rise. He catches it and reactivates the blade.

He simply smiles.
