Well I was talking about anime versions of both seeing as I haven't read either mangas. So I guess the intangible thing is credible in that sense.

Honestly, Souther was only a real threat due to his reversed pressure points, once Kenshiro figured that out he was done for

Not just that, Souther could've dodged most of his blows but in the beginning he took them head on because he knew they couldn't hurt him. Once he broke his secret Souther started fighting smarter and actually dodged his fists. The thing that sealed Souther's was when Ken prevented him from "Flying" that is where most of his offense lied and the holy emperor couldn't take his divine phoenix form.

@Endless - Of course Jyuuza was more impressive. But he isn't a Nanto user and wasn't included in who I said Souther was stronger than.

Yeah that was more of joke, but still Jagi was like the jobber of HNK. I don't even see how he managed to get accepted in the school of HNK. He even failed as a teacher of HNK when that one random guy tried to do a move on Ken. Have you played the HNK game on PS2?

Don't remember Jagi ever teaching anybody anything. As for Jagi getting into the school...Unless that's ever explained in the manga it's never explained. Actually he's pretty much just....left out of history after his defeat. Never seen why or how he joins a school when Ryuuken was only suppose to take Raoh to train anyway. Then he had Toki, and Ken. Why Jagi was allowed I'll never know.

And nah I haven't played any HNK games.

The one on PS2 is kind of awesome. its made by the guilty gear crew and fights just like it.

Jyuuza's absense from the Gaidens is my ONLY complaint. why the f0ck would you take out one of the coolest guys and one of the coolest HNK fights ever?! 😠

Nanto Rock Sei were the main group of the nanto because the Gosha sei were simply dedicated to defending the sixth and final Rock Sei (Yuria). they were basically the blackops of the nanto sect. that's why even Shin didn't recognize them until they introduced themselves.

I see, but Souther was always my favorite. He had the whole God complex and you found out that he wasn't always a bad guy. I like his fighting style and the way he "flies" I just got the HNK game on PS2 and he is my main character. Toki is a beast in that game though.

Souther was cool. and he kicked Ken's ass in like what...three moves? how many other guys have that in their belt? and the way he killed Shuu was also cool.

that game owns. the only problem with it is that kenshiro is not that strong in the game. it seems to have a few balancing issues but overall it was fun. especially the whole animated intro they made for it but still keeping the original opening! that was so cool!

Yeah Ken was way too balanced in that game. I know that if he was just like his anime version then he would've been extremely overpowered but still, making him too balanced doesn't help fit his character. Toki is an absolute beast in that game and I find Raoh to be near cheap. I main Souther though. For some reason I have more fun playing with the Nanto characters.

the thing is, Nanto is more graceful and flashy than hokuto. hukoto is pretty much just about smashing people and things. Nanto on the other hand requires more balance and speed and fluid motion because the whole art is about slicing/stabbing strikes.
put simply, hokuto compared to nanto is like a blugeon to a rapier 😄

I find it funny that just as soon as I finished watching the entire series, more and more topics involving HNK characters are being made.

Also, I do wanna play that PS2 HNK game but I don't think it was released in US.

I know what you mean, I just got the game on PS2 and it like rekindled my undying love for this series. I never stopped liking it, its just that I haven't really looked much into prior in a long time.

Souther was basicaly the best in his world except for the likes of Ken and Toki, who knew his secret. He could be come intangible and cut Goku all over his body. The secret of his body allowed him to take all sorts of punishment with no harm. He also has insane combat speed and reaction. He was able to outmaneuver his master at the age of 15 who even stated that he was too fast to counter his moves.

It seems a fair fight to me- at the beginning of DBZ Goku was, while the most powerful fighter on the Earth at the time, still in the same league as fighters such as Piccolo, Tien and Krillin- he was stronger, but he was still comparable, which changes after he receives King Kai's training.
