We'll see if they blink on that. Are they that adamant about distancing themselves from the previous fiasco? Is that why?

Karl Urban as Dredd

Captain Falcon is cheap enough. I bet he'll slowly push you off the ledge with that blaster.

I'll wait for a wider shot, see how the whole suit looks.
Stallone did look good and accurate in his Judge Dredd costume; it was just so much of the rest of the movie that was wrong.

I'm liking that look for Dredd. First time I saw it I thought the helmet was too big also but you could say that Stallone's by contrast looked too tight to his head. The body armour reminds me slightly of the Fifth Element' s police uniforms: perhaps thats what he wears on raids or heavy confrontation and not necessarily all the time.

The lawgiver looks impressive, the design from the comics is cool but that looks like its packing heavy ammo. Need to see more of the costume it to be sure but first impressions look good. 👆

Looks kind of low tech, like they're going for a Robocop look for the film.
😬

Where's the look that we saw in Jock's conceptual art for the film?

Danny Boyle's production company better not be running low on money.

Well, we know they announced a $45 million budget for the film, which is low. But they're making it in South Africa with many of the people who worked on District 9 - who made that $30 million dollar film look like it cost over $100 million. And they are shooting it in 3D. So...
The money better look like it's there, on the screen.

It's hard to say for the moment though because those pictures are taken out of context. In the movie for example the the cars may have some futuristic gadgets, like retractable armour or hover capability.

I think the most important thing vehicle-wise would be what the Lawmaster motorcycles are going to look like, I can't imagine Dredd getting out of a car.

Dredd on his lawmaster

im assuming it'll look better in the actual sets of the movie, rather than a generic road...

I'm excited to see this. I enjoyed the original Stallone version, and I think they can take this somewhere.

You're totally right, that helmet looks too large... and outfit for that matter.

I got to say I'm not liking that Lawmaster design. I mean, I'm no engineer or bike enthusiast but can that thing actually turn? 😆

Looks like someone's put their kid on an adult's bike.

My hopes for this film have just took a nosedive.

Theres a new picture floating around on the net

but jeeez whats up with his helmet.

It looks too large on Karl Urban's head. His neck looks skinny in it.

We won't know until it comes out, so no choice but to be hopeful until then...

It's too bad about the Stallone version of Judge Dredd. They got so many design details right, and Sly's casting worked. It's was just the wrong story and wrong tone that helped ruin it.

New photo's

Also confirmed in the magazine is the fact that Dredd will keep his iconic helmet on throughout the film

now from those photo's it looks good

It looks ok.
