facepalm2Didn't you mean the Tourette Syndrome researchers?
Oh wait, those are the ones who tick everyone else off.
🙁
It was a failed joke. It was supposed to be "researchers"....
Looking back, Michael J Fox would have been a better choice. Alas, too much time has passed and I am made of fail. 🙁

So I wondered, how many of you have ever judged someone by their occupation?Has it affected the way you socialize with them, or even treat them?
I don't think I ever have. I can't even fathom the idea of people doing this. Who cares as long as the person is cool?
I've hung out with strippers as well as nuns, drug dealers... I honestly rarely think about what they do unless I'm curious about something regarding their jobs in which case I just ask.
I have noticed that, as I started working in the field I'm in, I do only hang out with people in a center class. I don't hang out with people in the religious field (due to my career choice), nor do I hang out with many uneducated people. Not because I think they're stupid, I just find uneducated people to be lazy and unmotivated.

Unless your chosen career is "slaughterer of infidels" or "village idiot" I can't imagine what's stopping you.
Indeed.
I'm having a hard time thinking of any career field she chose that would prevent her from associating with theists.
hmm
Even if her career was to be a super-atheist and give seminars and write books on the evils of religion, she would have to associate with theists somehow to get "fuel" for her books/seminars.

As a rule, no. However, experience has shown me that people in certain occupations do tend to be jerks more often than people in other occupations.
And not only that, people in certain occupations will be prone to certain kind of social habits and behaviours which may be considered crude or just very bad taste by people of higher professions or status.
Generally I tend not to judge people by what they do for living, however, as previously said, there is often a pattern of social norms associated with people who do certain type of profession.

I'm sorry let me correct myself.
I tend to not hang out with people who are overly religious. The God fearing, Bible reading, the rapture is upon us, types.
Not because they're bad people. They just tend to try and judge me or try to change me. I guess growing up with those types of people have turned me off to them.
