The humans couldn't shoot the killing curse at the dragon because it is an illegal spell. Also, the killing curse is not the same as the stun curse. The stun spell stuns...the killing curse kills.
Archimonde has the power to point on someone and turn them inside out. He flayed an adult blue dragon by simply grasping his hand. His telekinesis should technically flatten Voldemort before he has a chance to utter his spell.
Then there is the matter of Archimonde being the size of a mountain and being durable enough to take the impact of a sharp edge whose impact was powerful enough to shake an entire landscape and sent thousands of soldiers of their feet.
There is more to him than that and that alone should suffice to defeat Voldemort.

Voldemort has all his spells and is at his peak.
Archimonde's Finger/Hand of Death is disabled.
Shabang!
As for being as big as a mountain, thats kinda cool. But unless he can't be killed by a "Get hit and you are killed" spell, his size doesn't really matter.
I guess based on what you are saying, Archimonde has done some cooler shit. But it comes down to whoever uses their kill spell first?

Archimonde is an alien. Even should we exclude his size from the equation, the spell would still be dealing with a foreign target whose biological and physical structure differ from the beings on earth.
Not to mention the magical nature of the Eredar. Archimonde who is a top magician in the Eredar community is not only resilient to magic, but has means to protect himself from various types of magics and effects.
This all without mentioning the No-Limit Fallacy that is claiming the curse can kill anyone regardless of nature or size.

Alright, let me get this straight.
Archimonde is a mountain sized alien who is resilient to magic?
How is this even a thread then?
Also it's a little bit of a stretch to call it no-limit fallacy. What am I supposed to do about that? I mean, it's called the killing curse. The only definition it gives about it is that it Kills what it hits. As for the thought it can only kill humans, it's killed animals too you know? But I guess because purportedly it wouldn't kill an alien because aliens are way weird is a solid argument. Toats Magoats.
I do not really find this "a thread". Most Warcraft top tier characters are much too powerful for Harry Potter characters. It would be more even to par Voldemort against Medivh or one of the mortal top tiers.
Well, a No-Limit Fallacy is when something is claimed capable of something, regardless of circumstances. And while the curse can kill animals and other stuff as well, Archimonde is still as foreign as he was before.
Although there's an easy way to see how much a No-Limit Fallacy it actually is. Do you think it would kill Living Tribunal. That would be the top of the tower in terms of excessive opponent 馃槢

Arthas? Easily pawns Voldemort. He became Lich King.
Therefore,
Archimonde>Mannoroth>Arthas>Voldemort
Voldemort entered battle and about 50 people died. 50 ONLY??!!!
Archimonde was able to destroy an ENTIRE CITY just by creating a certain sand city and broke it with his bare hands...
Voldemort has 1/5 the power of Archimonde.
Seems like everyone pwnd Voldermort in your world.
