I did a search but couldn't find any topics, only Shaak Ti stuff. ermm

So, T.I. Thoughts? Opinions? I know what most of you are going to say, toss him in with the usual mainstream garbage. IMO he's a very good artist, as far as main stream artists go. Dead and Gone is, currently, one of my favorite songs to listen to.

Again, thoughts, opinions? I heard he was convicted of smuggling weapons or something recently. That's sad, considering the message he puts out in a couple of his latest songs...

I thought I covered that in "Man's shit.".

I don't consider someone good just because they're better than a lot of other shit. Just good if they're good. Not that I'd even consider him better.

If you have to handicap the compliment then you're starting off on a bad foot.

I like him. He's certainly my favorite mainstream artist right now. Lyrically, I think the firearm charges helped him. Gave him substance to talk about. Paper Trail is a good album. He straight up killed it on "I'm Illy", liked what he was saying in "Ready For Whatever", and after "What Up What's Happening" I haven't heard Shawty Lo make anything.

He is not the "hottest ****ing rapper since Tupac" though as he directly claimed on "I'm Illy". Laughable statement.

T.I. is one of the most creative artists out right now. It's easy to call the man shit if you are not essentially a hip hop fan. So scratch that comment.

I liked rubberband man a lot when I heard it a while back but it was a while after I found out it was T.I. flowing to it. I don't listen to his music extensively but when he happens to be on it doesn't bother me to listen to him..

and the beats he flows to are always sick.

he's of the more smarter and coherent southern rappers out too, all while offering a breath of fresh air into the game without sh*t having to be the bs crunk music is.

T.I. used to be good. His first album I'm Serious was great, each track different and unique, a nice flow and he sounded way better. Now he sounds country when he raps and it doesn't seem like he tries anymore. He gives off the expression that he is a bad ass that don't take shit from anyone including authority but anyone who watched Punk'd would know the truth behind that.

I hate Southern rap which would include TI. Trying to cram as many beats into a minute as humanly possible and lyrics that only belong on a dance floor just don't do it for me.

Also, you can't hop in a low-low to Dirty South.

Totally agree w/ the poster who said T.I.'s beats are fire. They are some of the best right now.

he uses the autotune on "Turn My Beat Down" he uses it creatively if u ask me and from my knowledge thats the only song he uses it on
