Porn Industry Seeks Federal Bailout

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Another major American industry is asking for assistance as the global financial crisis continues: Hustler publisher Larry Flynt and Girls Gone Wild CEO Joe Francis said Wednesday (1/7/09) they will request that Congress allocate $5 billion for a bailout of the adult entertainment industry.

It seems to have been more of a joke, but really, it is a major industry, if there's free money hand outs it should be just as much considered as any other trade.

Likening the jack-off industry to the auto industry is a joke. The auto giants are in trouble because almost no one bought trucks over the summer due to gas prices, and there's a big difference in price between a dvd or a magazine and a F-250. I also don't see any senators taking Larry Flynt or Joe Francis seriously. I mean whenever some one mentions the Girls Gone Wild commercials, I've never seen anyone be able to keep a straight face.
