and the fact abilities like that are often ignored or forgotten about to make a fight fairer or to have the lesser opponent win.
Punisher isnt a lesser opponent and Puns 'fight' with Sentry was well written so I doubt it.

He is and pheramones would make this a none fight, he could completely **** with punisher and there be nothing he could do about it.
sentry fight if you can call it that was entertaining.
Issue 8, The Hood has a past version of the avengers come forward in time to try and kill Punisher (including Captain AMerica)
as for his fight with Daken...it seems fairly obvious that Punisher will not only lose his fight with daken, he'll be killed (or at least severly dismembered) those appear to be his limbs in that cover for his Dark Reign comic, ad there's also the Franken Castle preview in which we see more or less the torso and arms of a "zombie" punisher
It seems Marvel hasn't a f***ing clue how to handle the Punisher lately. First, it was the technology upgrades, to using other people's arsenal. At times, it's worked; other times it seemed too uncharacteristic. Now, it seems like they're setting him up for an upgrade...
If they want to kill Castle, fine... but let him go out in a blaze of glory. He's always been a great character (if you don't count that undead demon-hunter phase) and I don't want him to die, but it's a miracle he's survived this long.
I will drop the Punisher title if they redesign the character as a zombie or as a cyborg.

Im sure a lot of people disgree with your view and I think its completely wrong. The hi-tech weapons is fine hes used them before to take on meta-humans when hes needed to and the situation requires it (super-villains galore running around).
However this zombie things is a bit much but at any rate i'll see how the writing is.

It's almost as if Marvel doesn't think the Punisher is good enough on his own that he has to borrow bits and pieces from other characters and their inventions.
I really don't care if anyone sees it my way or not. I think it cheapens the character to a certain degree. I just want the Punisher to be the Punisher, not a repackaged clusterf*** of lesser characters or an unnecessarily revamped extreme flavor-of-the-week cyborg or zombie. **** that noise.

Hi-tech weaponry is fine depending on the situation. Making it the norm is not. Using other persons' trademark weapons is fine on a situational basis. Making it his standard-issue weaponry takes away from the character, who always got by just fine using his skills, strategy, conventional weaponry, and the occasional hi-tech devices.
You said depending on the situation. Remember I stated that there are meta-humans galore running around and they want Frank Castle dead. Punisher has never been in such trouble and for the most part hes hunted gangsters with the ocassional meta-human popping in so hes never really needed to.
Also there are numerous examples of him using tech that isnt associated with anybody else and still uses conventional weapons.

I dont know about that the hi-tech weapons are logical as stated before hes hunting meta-humans galore.

Whatever. I was refering to the hi-tech weapons not the zombie.
