Dante. As for those that consider dante to cheesy, I find it funny that the same people who claim hes cheesy would then claim snake is badass. The metal gear solid games are full of cheese as well (especially snake eater) but thats part of what makes the series so awesome.

Snake Eater is my least fav. MGS game. Solid Snake doesn't shout stupid one-liners. Snake doesn't look like a cross-dresser. Snake is not the son of a demonic warrior and doesn't have any super powers to aid him saving the world. Snake's determination to stop Liquid at all costs no matter his health is beyond being badass.

Please Dante doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Snake.

There really is no comparison.

A true badass doesn't spit one-liners in an effort to appear badass. A bad ass just is, he doesn't pose. That's why Hyabusa, Fenix, Master Chief, Delta 38 et al will always be above guys like Dante in this category.

Master Chief pretty much kills Prince, Link, Ganondorf, and Ryu. It would be close but he still beats Marcus however I highly dout Samus would lose. One shot from her cannon and Chief is toast. In the books Covenant Plasma fire takes his shields down fast. A blast from Samus would annihilate him. Then you have Genesis, Dante, and Sephiroth. Dante and Sephiroth would have a good fight IMO and its hard to decide who would most likley win. Sephiroth beats Genesis however so in the end its hard to say

Samus, Dante, and Sephiroth.

But most people go with the person they like the best and not by skill level.

Dante and Sephiroth are both cute.. in a ...digital.. sort of way.
