His power comes from the solar energy he absorbed,surfer absorbs the energy,and he is back to normal,its really quite simple really,and him being sundipped dosent stop surfer from making a black hole in his eyes either?and sun dipped supes isn't even more powerful than a surfer who is the embodiment of a universe either.
