Not sure if Barricade's hiatus had a reason, I think they tried covering that in a comic.

That blue Autobot was Jolt, he had to be rushed in at the last second because GMC wanted their electric car in the movie badly, so they just wrote him in last minute.

But you know, the disappearing and re-appearing of characters reminds me of G1. How we see Acid Storm and Sunstorm/The Rainmakers for like one episode and never see them again.

Yeah Chromia had the right idea to hide behind the building. Glad I'm not the only one who didn't see two kill shots on-screen. Almost everyone I've talked to about this believes they're dead. I hope they come back, they were neat, very alien, but neat.

of course they're alien 😛

i hope they come back, either as all three, or using the parts from the other two and add them to the remaining one so we can have the real Arcee

Haha, you know what I mean. So used to humanoid looking TF's that an odd lookin bot seems weird at first. Took me awhile to like the bent spine look on the Arcee triplets, but I think they're awesome now.

They look like pretzels with wheels. 🙁

I'm actually happier they look like that, rather than buxom, curvy fembots that would leave little to the imagination.

Maybe. I'd prefer, then, that they just dumped the Arcee idea (along with the idea that TFs are biologically born) entirely.

Or another type of design had been employed for Arcee.

the idea that they were biologically born organisms was good, in my opinion. Rather than the idea that they just walk out of the planet surface (planet cybertons surface)...

and i don't remember seeing Arcee die either...but then again, i don't really remember seeing much of the three sisters and jolt...

Its a concept (Like Ravage's blatant SW droidekas ) that just has absolutely no relevance to Transformers whatsoever.

Transformers had their bodys built.
I dont recall them "just walking from cybertron's surface", as you put it.

And just to highlight the ludicrous, fecal, self contradictorialy, cretinous nature of the Baymovies further:
What did N.B.E stand for in both movies...?

Non-Biological Extraterrestrials, wasn't it?

And the various comic series from different companies (plus the old animated series) have contradictory ideas about how Transformers come to life on Cybertron. I'm willing to let the filmmakers come up with their own theories about how it happens. We saw the hatchling chamber on the Decepticon ship in the movie; that's one clue.

yeah, i guess my statement was a bit ambiguous. im referring to the EU comics about the 13 originals transformers...where it shows them "rising" from cybertrons surface. not sure if that is considered canon or whether it's just an easier way to draw the process or what...

EU to the Baymovie..?

Yeah it might be canon to the bay movies (since the comics are just like an apologist pamphlet that patches up the really stupid gaps left in the movies.) but not to TFs lore from '84..

But thats just more self contradiction from the Baycamp.

Yeah I think he could have easily taken Megatron and the other three Decepticons if it wasn't for Megatron cheap shotting him.

But that was a major if.

All is fair in love and war. Megatron got him fair and square, by war standards.

The fact that Prime couldnt withstand it was telling.

It was three against one, and Optimus was giving it everything, even winning. He took a lot of shots and kept coming. His concern for Sam made him vunerable for a moment.

He still lost.

Love your sig Roughrider!

Optimus did lose and it was kinda obvious megatron would try sneak around the back and stab him. They are DECEPTicons. Prime did well though what was his mistake, he didnt realise megatron was behind him. If he didnt do that all three of them would of got pwned because the other autobots were coming anyway.

The other autobots were much smaller.
Ironide might have been the best bet, but Starscream was shown messing up the Autobots very effectively in the first movie.

You saw Short Circuit didn't you? If Guttenberg had a hard time telling if a robot was alive or not what chance do lesser beings have?

Also, how did Ravage look like a droideka? Though I don't deny he looked weird, especially with guns mounted on his ass.

I think he meant the little marble robots that Ravage vomited.

Well what youre saying is, is that the exposition in the 1st movie was unreliable....and I'd agree. If the people on earth who had studied megatron for like 100 years closely enough to draw the modern technological age fromhis design couldnt tell that it was a biological entity after all, then thats piss poor writing.

Bay and his writers are just making shit up as they go along.

Its obvious that I didnt say Ravage looked like a Droideka.

His little probes looked exaclty like Droidekas with extra limb bits attached. 🙂

Indeed. Thank you.
