For what its worth, and somewhat off topic, I think the most recent Thanos would be able to take an even split at least with Odin or DP Tyrant. He's had two upgrades since fighting Odin, and integrated Tyrant's orb into his own power...

seems to me that Thanos has never been pushed by Surfer. sure Surfer could do a lot better, in terms of strategy and such, but then it's not as if Thanos ever - EVER - really gave it much of an effort either.
if Surfer's present "energy output" is on Thanos' levels, I'd say it comes down to which is the more intelligent and resourceful. unfortunately for Surfer, that's not him 😐

Odin couldn't even scratch Thanos without Gungir. And admitted they were near equals and both drew from power sources of near-infinite might. And yes, Thanos has been upgraded. So to say that Odin would destroy Thanos in a neutral setting, both using standard tech is frankly ridiculous.

Historically, aside from speed, he can do everything Surfer does to a higher degree. Like janus77, I'm not sure where Surfer places now at his current power levels, but it is no assumption to say that Thanos is still more intelligent and a better strategist.
